I am looking for rear smoke side markers like are found on the Type S. I have found some on ebay (http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotor/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=120511162178&viewitem= &sspagename=STRK%3AMEWAX%3AIT) but this is for a set of front and rear. The front are already smoke on my TL. Does anyone know where to get just the rear side markers? I dont want to pay for the whole set when I only need rears. Thanks guys!

 

the ones you have listed are depo aftermarket side markers not oem. You will have to get type s oem rear side markers to get the "smoked"ones. off hand im not sure if the base oem fronts will match the type s rears. meaning it may be different shades.. hope this is of some help.

I put that full set of aftermarket lights on my car and I think they look good. I posted some pics a while back. The fit isn't the greatest, but they have never fallen out. One of my front markers went out and the dealer wanted as much as this whole set cost for just one replacement front marker. I bought the set instead. And they all match.

 

That is a good deal. I've been watching another ebay item at $120.
The OEM rear markers in that link will match the front. The Depo set will also match because you get all 4 in that set, which goes for ~70 on ebay, BTW.

Let me tell you a little something about that item...
They are both clear and not smoked. If you plan on leaving your front, it will not match.
Also, it is of poor quality... they did not snap perfectly back into place. The lock mechanism tab is just not OEM.

 

Even the OEM Type S side markers don't fit 100%.

I got mine a long time ago and the right side one fit in perfectly but the left side one was a pain in the ass to get in. Did not want to fit. But after 5 minutes we eventually got in in there. Both fit snug and look great.

Thanks for all the input guys. I ended up getting the OEM markers instead of the knockoffs.

I have searched the garage, and maybe I am blind, but is there any tips you guys can offer as far as installing these? I didnt see anything in the garage about the installation of the side markers.
