Type S Lights on a Base ?

dont do it. the corner lights for your base are smaller and so the sockets dont plug into the larger typeS socket. unless you want to start splicing crap and buying the connectors.. not worth the trouble.
you can 'rig' it so the base connector fits but be ready for fogging/condensation.

what are you talking about? heads?
I have Type-S tails and side markers on my base. I didn't have to modify much to do it. The side marker plugs are a bit different but was able to plug them right in with NO modification
How is this being a poser? If I added the Type-S pipe tips and trunk decal.. sure but the tail lights and sides? It's only window dressing
