u cut the inside of the skirt slightly ill take pics of the cuts but so far this is what i got.

I cut the skirt on the inside by the longer tip.... the other side didnt really have to be cut. i got it, installed it and cut the mid muffler out. sounds silly!

what I realized is that the type s skirt is flared out more on the outside to fit the tips n muffler but the extra beef on the sides doesnt really make a difference in fitment so im thinkin acura did that for the aggressive stance of the type s and obviously fitting of the tips

...ok well your exhaust is sitting like 4" lower than the top of the exhaust outlet on ur aspec. I wouldn't call that a "perfect" installation, but it looks good

^^^ Love the enthusiasm! I wanted to do this but I'm not going to attempt cutting or whatever into my bumper. I'll be happy with some single pipes ...OR I'll just resort to getting 2 fart pipes and putting them in!!

Looks good, can you take some closer pics of the cuts that you had to make! Where did you get the type S mufflers? I got a quote at the dealer for just the mufflers and it was over 500!! Some help finding some less expensive type S mufflers w/ tip would be great.

lol ill have closeups in the AM and ballin ur wrong it sits an inch below......thats acceptable since it is a bolt on. the aspec from 05 seems longer and the exhaust seems like it sits in further. thats all.

Do you think that this can be done to the TL without the ASPEC rear lip? Did you just cut the casing that goes around the exhaust? I know I gotta wait for pics! Where u get the mufflers from?

I got the mufflers from an online dealer for about 600 shipped. I can do anyones as long as u have the pieces before I leave. and yes u can do it on the car without the lip. here are the cut close ups....the only cut and how low they sit....I have no idea what ballin is talkin about, so i took some pics and ill let u guys decide.

the rubber mounts dont let u push them up any further than what you see there. i need to clean it a lil bit because it still has shavings and i wasnt really paying attention to detail at that moment.

Yes it does... but... to fit it with the stock bumper it migh turn into a headache... with the type s rear aspec lip it fits perfect

Do you have to get it all from the cat back or can you just bolt up the Type S Mufflers?

only the driver side bolts up.. the passenger side is attached to the y pipe which is then attached to the 3rd cat cut and weld required

ummm no..... you buy the whole thing from the cat back. thats why its 600$ otherwise you would be paying 380....the y pipe consists of the whole system 1st res, 2nd res, y pipe n muffler the drivers side is only the muffler.
