funny how both thread started minutes within each other... oh and the fact that both are consecutive... but his thread is just for the pedals for base guys... mine is specifically for the type s guys who desire a dead pedal... previously to this $45 dead pedal... the cheapest pedal was probably from ultimate pedals $65 or super computers which excelerate sells now and I think the price was for like $80... (which I don't care how much people say are good... neither was a perfect match with the oem pedals... the strut king pedals on the other hand are exactly like the type s oem pedals finish)

The type s pedals don't have anything engraves on them from the factory... So why would I want them with the type s logo at all

Excelerate has type s pedals for the 2g type s.. Those have color engraving THAT IS SICK... But under the circumstances... $45 shipped? Can't beat that with a baseball bat

As long as you don't have a LOT of stuff with the logo I think it sets it off...besides, you answered your own question mad scientist...

I don't see why a matching OEM dead pedal wasn't included from the factory....

Just ordered mine. It would have been nice if he had the rubber insert for the dead pedal too, though.

^ that is what you use compressed air for... when I fill up my tires it takes 50 cents... the thing stays on for 5 minutes... I use the excess air in my interior

Hmmmm...I thought that it would be the same shape as the existing rubber dead pedal....looks good though. I guess it's a universal fit kinda part?

Guys, here's my Dead Pedal from Ultimate Pedals. I agree, the Ultimate Pedals ARE more heavy duty, and they are excellent. Mine was more expensive than $40....it cost $65. But I paid that much for the Type S etched into the pedal. Plus, mine is flanged. That means it curves over on the right hand side of the pedal, so you won't see the original black rubber pedal underneath. Installation was very easy-I just screwed it on over the original pedal. It took me two minutes. Plus, they DO have versions that have the rubber studs in it.

looks good! matches well. i have the ultimate foot rest pedal. doesn't match as well but still looks good. i'm thinking of polishing it for a better match.

btw: you could remove the black plastic pedal and reinstall. it'll look alot better

Is this for the 07 and earlier Type S? I think the 08 came with an aluminum dead pedal already, right?
