i was referring to "yisrael42" that had a link to a video about a noise cancelling ear piece, that cancelled to noise for the person you are talking with on the other side...not for yourself.

that info sounds legit and is not a big deal (unless you live in hawaii), but it's there nevertheless...just bacuse u have an 07 doesn't mean there isn't a few things better on the 08.
Jesus, What's your problem? You don't need to speak in such a belittling tone. Yeah I have an 07, so what? I'm just mentioning to people not to trust everything from Wikipedia, and I know their aren't changes. Try contacting your local dealer, like I did.

belittling? i just said the 07 TL-S is not less of a car than 08 TL-S....i don't see why i'm making you feel that way...

anyways the changes i've heard of i have read somewhere on this forum anyways, wikipedia might not be right eather...i cud be wrong, but i was just trying to answer the OPs question, i don't have a problem.

so the only legit answer for now is the newer version navi disk...which you can update on the 07.

(btw, the dealer is a worse source than wikipedia...every time i talk with some1 from my dealer i know way more info about the car then they do, and not only do they not know shit, but they're sometimes wrong in what they know too)

why were there 07s still lying around for a cheaper price? lol don't worry when it comes time to sell it you'll make that money back because an 08 is gonna be worth more money than an 07 with the same miles.

I have to agree that wikipedia is not a credible source. All of professors at my university will not allow information in papers obtained from wikipedia, but I do use it to help me define some terms and other insignificant things.

I remember reading online (probably edumunds or car and driver), that the '08 TL-S reduces the amount of torque that is available in first gear to help control torque-steer. I don't remember if its for the manual and auto or just the one of them. If someone read or heard that somewhere let us know. If this is true, I think its unnecessary as the only people who would floor the car in first gear are fully aware of the torque-steer issue and probably know how to modulate it.

Why do I find this horrendously hard to believe when you have people here asking if its OK to drive without an air filter.

The torque reduction in 1st & 2nd gear has been part of the VSA software package since the beginning of the 3G's.

Vince you're right that there were two new colors introduced for 2008 - Polished Metal Metalic and Bold Beige Metallic. However, neither is available on the TL-S.

I wouldn't be surprised if there were a couple of minor differences (like the add'l TPMS light) but they would be inconsequential and for the most unnoticed.

^^wasn't my claim...it was wikipedia and i wasn't even the one that found the article, but yea thanx for clarifying...it's wierd that they wudn't make these colors avalable on the tl-s too...since they already have em.

mabe the TL-S is made in a different factory than the regular TL? or is it all in the same factory?

In the 6 speed with VSA off it will easily chirp the 1/2 - 2/3 shift. Also the VSA & LSD are not fighting each other so the torque steer is actually reduced.

LOL. Guys, here's the press release from Honda's Media site that backs up the Wikipedia entry -

http://www.hondanews.com/categories/735/releases/4216

"TL features numerous refinements for the 2008 model year. Externally, the TL has two new paint color options: Polished Metal Metallic and Bold Beige Metallic. Inside, TL's with White Diamond Pearl or Carbon Bronze Pearl paint are now available with Parchment interior trim. The Acura Navigation System with Voice Recognition has been upgraded to include Hawaii. The AcuraLink with satellite communication has an updated real-time traffic system that now includes 76 metropolitan markets-an increase of 32 markets for 2008. Vehicle security has been increased with an updated immobilizer system."

there's your answer...same as wikipedia's basically, the thing is though, it says TL. So these things are for the base TL too and are not all TL-S differences.
