Two Acuras in the family

Haven't been on the boards in a long time...

Just picked up a '15 MDX so we can transport our 10 month old son and all his stuff, but still keeping my '05 TL. Hubby's going to be driving it when he's not driving his S2000.

The TL is still basically going strong after almost 10 years. It has 86,000 miles since when I was working my commute was about 3 miles. We've had very few issues with it except that my husband went to drive it yesterday and it wouldn't start. Weather was crappy today so he hasn't investigated. I think he might be mad that I abandoned him for the MDX .

I do miss the sporty drive of the TL. The MDX is a really nice ride but much softer. I have the ASPEC suspension on my TL. It's funny how advanced the TL was tech-wise in its day but the MDX blows it away. I'll always have a soft spot for the TL and I hope we can keep it going for a while longer.

Nice pickup, Ami. Keeping it in the family-good idea.

A TL -MDX combination household is somewhat common.

I like the MDX especially during a snow day especially when go up hill. I like it but it's too much for me to afford.

Thanks everyone! Miss the 5.1 system and the DVD-A playback. Wish they hadn't gotten rid of that. It's funny not looking at that tape deck anymore!!

Well yeah it does have a sub and a center, but it has some DTS setting that mimics surround. I'm still on the fence as to whether I want to keep it on or not.

You have to tune in XM/Sirius satellite radio, some station is 5.1 and some isn't, I notice that during driving a 2013 TL tech as loaner. But the 5.1 DVD-A still give you the best sound and that DTS on/off are garbage anyway.

Congrats! MDX is very nice, but too much for me to afford as well. Have my 08 TL-S and 2010 Honda CRV EX-L combo here.
