A tucked bay looks sweet. Based on the pics I've seen though, it looks like most professional tucked and shaved bays get rid of a lot of stuff. Either that or relocate it. Fuse box, power steering/alternator, different or relocated radiator, etc. etc. etc.

That may work for the track, but I don't see it being practical for a street car. Talk about the ultimate cooling mod though. No crap to get in the way.

And brah, the UA9 is a waste of time IMO. Power increase will be marginal and it will be uber expensive and complicated. Go bolt ons with (or without) FI on your current motor if you want more power. But I don't know of anyone in their right mind who would consider dropping the UA9 motor in. I don't believe it's even been considered or discussed since full bolt ons will yield more of an increase with the J32 alone. Do whatcha do though....

wire tuck and shaving would look nice but all that stuff has to be relocated somewhere..and that somewhere will be cluttered and ugly.

not worth the effort imo.

when the car is $10k, almost every one can afford it....

Like i mentioned earlier; keep your goals realistic.
as i browse your previous post; you know suspension and wheels.

you wouldnt do a 14inch wide rim now, would you?
same thing applies here.

You have $800 saved already for air? Lol. Do you realize how many thousands of dollars this process will cost you? Even if you get then motor and trans for free this kind of project will nickle and dime you to death. I know this from experience....

Take your money and go by candy and video games. Enjoy your youth while you still have it.

Brah, in the land of financing and credit, your car no longer dictates your social status. Most here could afford a much newer and powerful vehicle than the TL but have other priorities like a home, family or just not spending a lot of money on argueably the worst investment you can make - a car.

And why does MLK have a black widow on his chest?

I hate when people use being a youth as an excuse to do dumb stuff. Most of the advice given in this topic is good advice because those guys have been where you are. As in you're about to shell out a bunch of money on stuff that you will likely regret in the long run. (like the ua9 swap) Air ride isn't a bad idea depending on what direction you want to go with your car. But like the others said, it's gonna cost ya.

Besides, your profile says you're 20. I think you should stop playing the "I'm young and dumb" card. Doesn't that expire at 20?

But it's your car, so you should do what you want with it MLK jr. But you should also take some of the advice and save yourself a few bucks.

air ride is a big commitment. not only is it expensive but in the event something goes wrong it can get expensive to fix. luckily i havent had problems but i have some friends who have had some issues and it was expensive and other times it was to the point where they switched back to coils until they could redo the entire system. my advice is that if you are serious about air save up alot and do it right the FIRST time

I think the tucked bay is a good look, but in order to do it on a TL you would be sacrificing a lot of luxury like AC and PS... In a civic it works because the car is so light, but keep in mind that the TL has about twice the weight in the engine bay alone and the tires are a lot wider so trying to turn the steering wheel without the assistance of the PS pump would prove most difficult..

But still a cool idea

I say go balls out on the engine bay lol no one else has done a huge bay project on the tl that I'm aware of. I'm in the middle of cleaning my bay up quite a bit.. Feel free to check my build thread for bay ideas and what not. I haven't started to much on the wire tuck portion but it seems relatively easy to tuck a lot out of the way on our TL's. So far with what I've done I found it very similar to the wire tucks most g35/350z guys are doing.

That's what I was thinking too. I wouldn't say it's a bad idea if it wasn't his DD and was strictly a show car. But again, I guess it depends on what he's willing to sacrifice for that look.

Ac would be a pain in the ass but its really easy to relocate the PS reservoir and run new lines.

Save your money, put it towards aspec, wheels, a supercharger, atlp exhaust... Trust me there are plenty of ways to spend money on this car. The TL is becoming very affordable as it gets older but it can still nickle and dime you to death. Save your money on the pointless mods like a wire tuck and air ride and use it wisely.

I love my TL, don't get me wrong but its just a nicer Honda Accord

Just my opinion!

So tell us What have you done to your car in the past 2 years... Comon grow up

Alright, we've got 2 pages worth of good input mixed in with bullshit.

Some of you guys need to read Post #69 from ggesq and abide.....

We're done here-2 pages is probably more than the OP ever expected anyway.
