While the TSX is a hell of a car, I wouldn't go so far as to call it "High End" I was also under the impression that the TSX IS the Euro Honda Accord, except for the badging. So whether you buy an Accord in Europe, or a TSX in the States you're getting the same car.

Like everyone else, just drive em both and see which suits your driving style and your perceived levels of value. Having a lot of experience with a TSX 6MT and now a TL 6MT, I'd say they're both awesome cars, but are surprisingly polar in my opinion. The TL is a car that's value packed, comfortable, technologically advanced in its gadgetry, and plain hauls ass getting onto the highway. The TSX is a lot sharper and basic (referring to this as a good thing). It's more involved, which is a big factor for enthusiastic driver types. It's obviously more nimble and the handling is a lot more alive.

The TSX has a different dash and more horsepower than the Euro Accord .

I drove both, and considered both. The biggest two reasons I went with the TL was it had better legroom in the back and it made more power.

I have a low 10 second hobby car so for me getting a daily driver that runs low 14's was better than a daily driver that runs high 15's. My Tahoe went high 15's... And that's not fast, a stock Silverado is faster than a TSX.

The interior in the TL is as nice as the M240 I looked at. It's nicer than the 325 I looked at. I think the Acura TL has the best interior of any car in it's price range.

FYI this is the first Japanese car I have ever owned too.

My boss' TSX has the same Navi and voice commands as my TL... I have driven both:

The size difference is not as noticible from the inside as from the outside. The power difference is very clear however, and the TL's standard equipment is conciderably more..

No bluetooth, heated seats, DVD-A, XM, seat memory, auto-lowering backup mirrors or power passenger seat (not 100% on that).

TSX is still a cool car for under $30k, but my TL feels more solid at 80+ (plus you can get an '04 TL at invoice right now)

As far as the Japan vs. US built: It doesn't matter, because the quality comes from the Japanese manufacturing and QA processes.. not the shape of the eyes turning the wrenches. (no offense intended).

Each tenth is ET is a car length. Imagine running a quarter mile and a TSX being behind you to the tune of 16 car lengths. Don't get me wrong, that is the reason I passed on the BMW's too, the 325 is like 175hp and 3400 weight, and the 330 was like 220hp which was still in the 15's or very high 14's. If the TSX had made like 250 HP I would have been very interested.

The character of each of these cars is very different. As said before, you really need to test drive both.

I have a TL, and the dealer gave me a TSX loaner when the car was in.

I enjoyed driving the TSX for a day . . . it reminded me of my old VW GTi (1984)
as it was very peppy and fun to drive.

But 20 years later, I'll opt for the luxury of the TL.
