So im in need of a Acura TL Half Jack Intermediate Shaft Assembly for an auto. They a bit more pricey than manual. And harder to find used. But i was told today on an acura page that the manual with work just fine for an Auto. Is this true?

Welcome to the forums.

The following is posted at the top of the New Member Introductions forum: Welcome! Please introduce yourselves here, BUT ASK FOR HELP IN THE TECHNICAL FORUMS

Since this is a topic/technical issue which will require replies and discussion, this thread has been moved to the model specific forum.

So those two pictures are of the same picture. Did you mean to post a picture of an auto half shaft or 6speed shaft.

Shaft.

I'm curious @Hquincy74, what makes you think you need a new intermediate shaft?

The 'prefix' and 'suffix' of the part numbers are the same, the difference only being the 'root' which is the model code.

Draw you own conclusion.

I don't. I was told by a so by my mechanic that it was missing & went on that. Just called up underneath today only to see the shaft assembly right were it should be but a broken bolt on the dust shield. This thread was never supposed to happen in the first place. Didn't mean to post it.

^ it's all good, some of the guys give a hard time to new folks. I would recommend you get a copy of the service manual PDF. You can download them for free from a variety of places. It's a fairly large file and breaks my computer sometimes when going through the 2000+ pages to find the right section.

Sorry, we don't delete or remove threads that are not in violation of forum rules but I will close it and let it sink to the bottom of the forum.
