Troubles: EndlessRPM Shark Mouth Grill

Hey everyone,

I'm really struggling here, but my EndlessRPM Shark Mouth Grill is not fitting. I have a pretty significant gap all around the edges. Does anyone have any advice as to how to fix this? I'ts driving me insane and there is no going back, ugh.

Before anyone asks, I did order the correct grill (04-06) since I have an 05 base model. I also cut out the entire grill (not just the cross bar) since I wanted everything to sit flush. Unfortunately, it's just not working. It's almost like the grill needs to sit a bit lower and the top "wing-like" edges that clip into the top of the bumper need to be cut off in order for the grill to drop into place.

To "cover" the ugly grey portion of the existing bumper that is showing in the gap, I thought about adding more vinyl like the following:

Obviously, this wouldn't be the ideal solution though lol.

lol, I knew that response was coming. I don't have my car with me at the moment, but I did reference your thread as well.

Like others, here is how I ended with my initial cuts:

When that didn't work, I proceeded to cut lower. The tiny sliver area below the red line is all I have left. There's literally no more room to cut.

I just got home from work. Here are some updated pictures. Don't mind the dust.

Like you were thinking, you might have to cut up higher where those two little "fins" extend out from each side. I vaguely remember going back and trimming it a little more. Also I was left with much less than what's under the red line by the time I was done. I kept having to go back and forth by sanding down a bit, fitting the grill, then repeating. It did take some work for me to be satisfied

Valid question...Yes, it is the original 2005 OEM bumper.

Hey guys,

I hate to be "that" guy, but I'm still having issues here. I feel like the grill just doesn't fit. The only thing to do here would be to cut off the fins and figure out an alternative way to mount it. Even then, I"m not sure the grill would sit flush. Here are some more pictures of the same thing.

Any thoughts?

Instead of cutting off the fins, put them under the bumper and install on an angle from behind so it sits lower. Then if you cut too much some use a prop underneath like silicone to push it up. That is a big gap though, but since it seems even all the way around, only solution would be for it to drop in place.

I was able to get this issue resolved. I will post pics and a writeup sometime in the near future. Thanks a ton Bruce!
