Trip computer
Hi fellow TL owners,
I have had the car only a few days and like most of you, am starting to say 'why not this?'. So, for this thread my question is: why can we not have the MID display the trip computer as a default? I had a 1985 Cougar with a trip computer and it would default to the last screen I had chosen whenever I started the car. This car goes through its stuff and then has "TRIP COMPUTER" on the screen and nothing else. I then have to hit the buttons to get the info back up there!!
And, the two buttons that control the computer are hidden by the steerting wheel. Whats up with that?
I know, minor grips, but I have not read anything about this yet.

Audi trip computer functions the way you want it to and they have the controls on a stalk in back of the steering wheel that allows you thumb it while driving and not have to take your hands off the steering wheel.

Yes, but I do not have nav or phone so they mean nothing to me except useless buttons.

As for the Nav... sorry to hear you do not have it.. I love it... even if you use it once a month, it is worth it.
