Trimming Rubber Inside window
I am having my windows tinted on June 5th. The place I made the appointment doesn't like moleskin at all. He said it comes off when cars get over 120 degrees and the glue and moleskin gets all over the window tint. ANYWAY the questions is: has anybody had the rubber that goes against the window on the inside trimmed, but not taken off. I didn't like the idea when he told me. I asked about road noise, and he said it makes a little more noise. Any opinions about this trimming is great. I also wonder how much it would cost to replace the rubber if I didn't like the mod. He said it would cost $30 to replace? Is this true?
I just don't want to make a bad decision due to lack of knowledge. Thankyou for any opinions and ideas.

Just trying to help your ass out before you get flamed for asking too many questions! LOL! How many "question" threads you started so far JD?
JD TL-S, perform a search for moleskin felt and look at the number of threads that come up.
Many members have had their cars tinted with moleskin (including myself). After more than a year, my windows look just the same as when they were first tinted.
IMO, trimming/removing the window seals is just asking for water to leak into the windows.
Do the research and see for yourself. BTW, have you checked out the The 3G Garage?

I don't understand, this is not a stupid question like 87 vs. 93 octane, or some other really simple questions.

I guess moleskin works??? I don't have time to find another place and get an appointment before road trip. Just want good advice. If moleskin works, I have 1 more place about 20 minutes from me that does high end cars, I will call from work today. I was going to get my tint done at the same place that was going to put in my rear Ingall kit and do an alignment. I hope the other place does moleskin. Cutting my rubber is not a good thing. Seams to be like a butcher. SORRY I don't have a lot of time, but I want the best possible. I remember reading about this somewhere but I couldn't find it. I was just hoping I would get good answers not warnings and criticism. Thanks anyway.
