Trim Level poll

Not too sure I've seen this poll since I've been a registered user, so thought I'd do one.

Plus, I've never done a poll before.

This is an interesting poll. Plus, there hasn't been a poll for a few days and I was starting to get shaky from withdrawal.

I know I've always wondered, but it escapes me why I've never asked before.

For the record, this is the poll that will demonstrate that while the majority of the posters in this forum talk about 'performance' and how kewl their manual tranny's are, the majority of the owners in this forum are happy, older automatic tourers.

I actually like this post, however, if you would of made two 6 speed questions (instead of four) identical to the auto questions, it would've been much easier to extrapolate the ongoing totals.

no surprise that automatic w/ navi is the overwhelming majority.. you can sort of tell that when trying to buy the vehicle and the dealers make you wait or try to exorbitantly raise the price.

My dream poll is every color combination exterior/interior that you wished you could get, not what (some) you were forced to take because you coulnd't wait.

Yeah, but this way we can see what people purchased. I just used the trim levels off of Acura's website. Those were the options all of us have.

It's odd that automatics are ahead 40-13 in this poll, but the "Auto vs. 6-spd" poll was nearly even, with the 6-speeds in a slight lead.

Just goes to show how reliable these things are, I guess.

8:51 PM on a Friday night. Are you saying half of the 6-speed owners are tucked in their beds?

No Mike, the 6-speeds are out driving right now.

BlackSunshine, good poll too!

Hmmm... no. We're definitely out driving. We can't get enough of that shifting sensation!

I will say that I'm quite surprised at the results so far. I would have figured a close race between manual and auto. Even more suprising is the rarity of the 6mt/navi/hpt (again, so far).

Thumbs up What about A-SPEC?

What about A-SPEC. Since it's a factory option, shouldn't it be included as a trim level?

6MT A-SPEC
6MT Navi A-SPEC
5AT A-SPEC
5AT Navi A-SPEC

Umm... no. Anybody can opt for the A-Spec kit. I wanted to know who picked what trim level off the bat. Besides, an A-Spec kit will not reflect in the VIN. The trims listed in the poll will.

And remember, the most unique component of the car that enhances every trim level is... the driver.

Amazing. 135 votes to date and barely 25% are 6-Speed. A rare breed we 6'ers are.

Keep the votes coming! I'm sure we have more than 135 registered users that own 04 TL's.

Wow! That's a lot of TL owners (I hope) that voted. Fantastic results!

It seems the extra rare ones are 6-Speed Manual w/High-Performance Tire owners.

Talking

I think you should have added the option for some to check off 5 speed auto with orange interior, so we all can listen to him pat himself on the back about how glad he is that he leased a car with an ugly interior. He probably doesn't even know how to drive a manual tranny anyways...maybe he should ask his wife to teach him, or should I say boyfriend??

-Chad

ps- look in your rearview mirror.. that's me, now get out of my way so I can drive 185 mph zig zagging through traffic with the rest of my fellow juveniles.

Damn, the majority of TL drivers are Auto drivers? I was expecting it would be an equal number of 6 speeds and autos, given that the engine is sweeter paired with a manual

Interestingly enough, I just watched CnD on Spike TV and their impression is the Auto is more responsive to and delivered the power better under performance conditions.

Then again, they are RWD stick enthusiasts and probably don't know how to drive a FWD stick to its potential.

Looks like more owners voted. Even bigger !

Just another week and the poll closes! I didn't intend a month, but it's looking as if more have voted.

Wow... Lotta auto owners, twice as many than the sticks.

since 6mt was projected to be 15 percent of sales, where is the big surprise? and since most owners will never come to this site, what is the point of ANY poll?

Yeah, because I expected every 04 TL owner in the world to be registered to the site and vote. Whatever!?!?!?!?

It was a mere curiousity on my part. I'm sure someone else found it interesting. Heck, how about those TL owners that don't come to this site... they're probably wondering why people like you and me visit the site. You know, what's the point? It's just a car.
