Trico Teflon Blade Experience on '04 TL

Just wanted to share my experiences with a wiper blade replacement
I recently installed on a 2004 Acura TL. This product is great
and I have no affilliation with the companies I list, just wanted
to pass along a positive experience. In a search to find
a compatible and much better wiper blade replacement for this car,
I came across Trico Teflon blades. I've had a problem with
smearing in light rain conditions and partially blamed my problem
on RainX and cheap wiper blades from Honda. Wiper blads are
something I am fanatical about.

The blade lengths for the 2004 TL are 26" (driver) and 19" (passenger).
I do not recommend shortchanging the car by using the more common 24"
blades that Silblade and other have. 26" inch blades are very hard to find,
so when I saw these, I went for it. I have also tried the Lexor/Pylon blades
in 24" that was decent, but left a small gap that I didn't like.
I believe that the 2003 and earlier models may use a 24" blade, but
don't use them on a 2004, they're not right if you ask me.

This is the product:

I found out the Trico made a 26" blade and ordered a set. They
are hard to find in stores (probably cause they are new), so I
mail ordered them from http://www.midwayautosupply.com which
had a decent price and ordered quick.

You'd need parts 15-260 and 15-190 for a 2004 TL. The 26" is a bit
pricey at $17 or so, but worth it if you ask me, especially if it does
a good job. Probably more than MicroEdge blades which I've used in the
past. Paying $25 for a set of blades once per year is money well spent.

After managing to get the RainX off my windshield using
this product:

and installing these
blades, I finally have a smooth clean wipe! Blades are 100% smooth
and chatter free and do not smear even in misting light rain (a
major issue I've had) - definitely not a good at night on a dark wet road.
Also work beautiful is total downpour. I've had the remants of hurricanes
for the past few weeks (I live in SE PA), I was very impressed and expect
these to last close to a year. Trico makes wiper refills for
these, but I haven't found them yet. Also make a set of winter
blades. The blade structure is very solid and was easy to install.
Sometimes it's the blade structure itself (rivet areas) that is noicy,
not so much where it contacts the windshield, but these were great,
I highly recommend them!

Bosch makes a 26" - Micro-Edge. They work great. Found them at www.autobarn.com
