Transporting four golf bags with clubs
Anyone found a good way to transport four golf bags with clubs, including at least two oversized drivers, without removing clubs from the bags? Yesterday I tried to do this and would up removing the woods from two of the bags and putting them through the pass-thru into the back seat. Since I had to put two of the bags on top of the other two, they wouldn't fit if I didn't remove the woods due to the trunk hinges.

My solution has been to borrow my wife's RX300, as our RL won't hold 4 bags either. This has been pretty expensive with regards to "pay back" for the favor, but I will do about anything for a great day on one of the courses around Monterey.

While recently shopping for cars (and subsequently ending up with my shiny new TL ) I checked out the G35 coupe. I found it rather interesting that they actually have a diagram affixed to the inside of the trunk showing you how to fit two (and only 2) sets of clubs into the space. I realize that a sport coupe is not intended to be a cargo hauler, but that gives you an idea of how small the trunk is if they can only fit 2 golf bags, and even then only if you know the precise arrangement to use. Just thought that was interesting.
As far as fitting 4 sets in the TL, I'd say put them in the backseat and tell someone they gotta ride in the trunk.

Maybe he has one of those caddy shack rodney dangerfield bags complete with a beer tap and stereo. Who knows.. Today everyone has super sized everything.
maybe the 4 bags were starters sets LOL.
The day I buy a car based on how many golf bags I can carry is the day I need to get my head examined. Get a membership and leave your clubs at the club!!!

Two medium size bags will fit fine. With or without the woods does not make a difference.
I actually have a large cart bag and a pull-cart that stay permanently in the trunk and fill it. If I take a friend golfing in my car I just put his bag in the back seat

One on the right for me
I fit three large golf bags in their carrying case in my trunk and another three in the back seat and still had room for my backpack. Had to play around with things a bit but everything worked out perfectly.

I can fit one golf bag with all clubs at the very rear of the trunk and fit one pull cart further inside the trunk and that's it. If you don't mind piling bags on top of one another, then you probably could get another bag on top of the first one. This is one of the only drawbacks to this car in that I can't take two sets of clubs and pull carts (his and hers) without using the back seat or trying to stuff them in the trunk somehow.

Wow, this is an old thread of mine that was revived.
I asked that question last year after having a horrible time fitting in the four bags when my brother and I took our parents golfing for Mothers' Day. All four fit if some of the woods were removed and put through the pass-through. (The car rode too low, though, with three adult men and one adult woman, plus for golf bags, so I've never done it again.) I can fit three bags without removing the woods.
Went to the Homestead in Hot Springs, Virginia, this weekend. The bellmen there are very good about loading the cars, but I had to tell the guy my precise rules on how the clubs go in because of the cargo netting. We had two golf bags plus a suitcase, a duffel, and a garment bag, and I've found that with the cargo netting there is a very precise way that the clubs have to go in to make things work (in particular, the CLUB end of the bag must be lowered in first, preferably at the same end as the cargo netting so that the bag stand on the walking bag doesn't snag on the netting).

My folks have a 740 iL and there is a diagram on the trunk lid showing how to load four golf bags. I always thought that was pretty funny.
I've only tried getting three bags in mine and they ended up fitting, but I don't remember how.
