Is there anyone who has the same problem as I am? I have NBP '04 TL A/T w/ navi. It just passed the break in period. Everytime I run my car, especially in the morning, when it change its gear from 1st to 2nd, there is a sound "grekk" from the gear but after that the sound is gone until I let it sit for few hours then run it again. It's only from the 1st gear to the 2nd. Anyone knows what is wrong with my car?

I'm not really sure what you mean by "thump" "flap" sound? but there is a noise at 10 mph..

Most believe, including me, that is just your ABS performing a diagnostic/coming on-line. ITS NORMAL.

It really helped me out.. I just afraid because the sound is quite loud and sometimes I can feel it from the accelerator pedal. What is the safety recall from Acura about the early build TL have the problem with the transmission? It's not the same with the click sound, is it?

What's your VIN#?? THe last 6digit. For example 805021.

 

Are you sure that it's not the auto door-lock kicking in at exactly 10 mph?

 

my VIN # 804153. Do you think that mine is involved in the tranny safety recall?

I'm pretty sure that it's not the auto door-lock because i set my auto door-lock to P
