Transferring Extended Warranty? (and pics of new car)

Well hello there.... Just purchased an 04 NBP 6spd w/ Navvi, and it has 75,000 miles on it, and the extended warranty.

The vehicle is still covered until October next year, but I dont know if the warranty is transferable. The previous owner told me it probably is not, but thought I'd check with the experts....

Oh, and pics....

The 08 A-Spec rims made it worth the 3.5hour drive. Picking it up tomorrow...

errr yea, Type-S rims. New to this game. The guy also had a pair of a-specs with summer compound tires, but blew too much money on the car for those.

Is there anything I need to get from the seller to assist in transferring the warranty?

Was your vehicle a certified pre-owned vehicle?

Most warranties are transferrable, but you'll need to contact the warranty company for final determination. If it was a CPO car, you'll need to find out if the previous owner purchased the Extended Warranty. If the extended wasn't purchased, only the power train will be covered 7/100,000 from in service date, but if the Extended was purchased, the car will be covered, I like to say bumper to bumper 7/100,000, with certain exceptions.

Thanks for the help. The vehicle is not a CPO, I'm purchasing it privately from the first and only owner, and he had purchased the extended warranty. Calling Acura tomorrow or friday to clarify.

AcuraCare extended warranty will transfer. It will cost you $50. If it is an AcuraCare warranty, get the form before you go pick up the car. That way, you can get the seller's signature...

Can I get the AcuraCare warranty at an Acura dealer or is it available online, or should it be with the original owners initial paperwork?
