Change the ATF then wait 5000 miles until the next one, then at the last drain and refill you can change the pressure switches because now most of your ATF through the trany is new.

True, but factory estimates do not really matter as long as you maintain everything yourself, including topping it off periodically.

As always, it all depends on intervals and how you drive, or in your case how the previous owner drove. Plus, I believe it is easier to notice if ATF is bad visually, it turns into that burgundy color; beyond that put it on your finger tips and feel the lubrication. I have changed oil on a lot of honda's that have the consistency of water on your fingers, but in turn the vehicle's have in the end had transmission issues.

Best advice as many have said, follow directions, and when in doubt change it. Let's compare hypothetically ATF 40 bucks, rebuilt transmission $,$$$

I hear the 07' TLS 5AT has a internal filter...and I found it online, but the local dealership has SQUAT on it. Their parts guy will be asking their mechanics about this change out. If so....mine is gone this weekend! I also heard from a Non-Dealership Honda mechanic - NOT to power flush ANY Honda trans....only change the fluid.

I'm not sure if its actually a media filter, or just a basic screen, but most every Honda AT has what some call a 'filter'. You probably never need to change it if you keep the fluid clean. It's not a simple pan drop operation.

Never flush any transmission, unless it has serious issues, or its been done all the time since new. Just drain and fill, if its really bad, drain a fill a few times in a row after driving a bit. I don't think Honda recommends flushing a transmission.
