Trailer Hitch and ASpec

I know there are a bunch of threads about hitches and bike racks. I read through them all. And several of them ask the question:

Will a hitch work with the ASpec body kit without modifications?

Please don't stone me...

I went to the dealership and they said that its not recommended with a auto, but I have a 6speed and the guy said, "You didn't hear it from me but its ok with the maunal transmission."

I want to use it to haul my GSXR750 to the track and also when I travel from PA to FL.

Pictures would be awesome.

Thanks!

yes, I do have the ASpec springs on. And it lowered it maybe 1inch if that.

Honestly I think the ASpec springs would be better cause they are harder and stronger than regular springs therefore handle more weight. Cause I LOAD my trunk and entire backseat when I travel from PA to FL, which probably totals about 600-700 pounds worth of stuff and it drops the back end a little less than inch I think.

So a trailer with is a couple hundred pounds and my bike is only 325. Thats honestly all that would be on it.

Don't see why not.....tongue weight on an m/c trailer ain't that much. I hauled an m/c trailer with 1200+ lbs. of gear from Phoenix to Seattle with my 93 Mustang Cobra...did just fine and pulled the Siskyous Passes at 80+ to boot

the only real way to find out the answer to this question is going to be putting the car up and attempting to fit the hitch in place.

Well, it comes stock at 359. Replace the entire stock exhaust, take off the radiator and put race fairing on it...that'll do it.

Already done all that...Akrapovic Evolution II, Ti header+CF can, Ex-valve delete, PC III USB, Sharkskins....etc.

I hope you mean oil cooler removal, cause I don't think I could manage w/o my radiator.....Spokane Raceways gets hottttttttt

Apologies to mods for getting off the "3G track".......signing off this thread.

Didn't mean actual radiator. Meant to say radiator fans. So basically its air cooled.

I actually don't have a Power Commander. Don't really see the need. Mind you I've only ridden on technical tracks where I barely get into 4th on the straights. And when you're running with 600s, my 750 has more than enough power.

Anyway...No one with an ASpec Package ever got a hitch or did research for one?

I was j/k...knew you didn't remove the rad. Spokane Raceways, after turn 11....WFO for almost exactly 1 mile! Radared at 181 before entering turn 1....the PC comes in handy when those pesky ZX-10's come sniffin' around...

Here ya go man.....same style hitch I had on the Cobra. Draw-Tite Hitch for 06 TL

Disclaimer:You'll definitely have to confirm it will clear the A-Spec rear body spoiler

one thing you could try is see if your local uhaul hitch installation place has one in stock for your car. If they do go down and see if it will fit.
