Traded in my TL for...

Whats up everyone? I know I haven't been the most active member on here, but like many of you, I've enjoyed lurking through the site and spending loads of money on mods and add-on's for my baby. I bought her in 2007 [04 Base TL] and in 4 yrs of ownership have added more things to her than I can count...not to mention all of the compliments, which I gotta say was worth every penny!!

However, with just over 90K miles on her along with my itch to drive a manual transmission again, I jumped into a new 2011 Honda Accord Coupe Ex-L V6 with ZERO MILES last night and said good bye to my TL. Even though she could have lasted well into the 200K mark, the time seemed right and the price was well worth the investment. Even though I no longer have my TL, I'll def. still be around.

As for pictures of my TL through the years and my new baby...I'll post those up as soon as I get a chance. Can't do much here while I'm still at work. And for those of you looking for a bargan, check out my Part Out Thread.

Good luck guys!!!

Yessir!! This baby can move! I test drove a couple at different dealerships, but the one I ended up buying from just got it off the truck that night

Whats funny is, I usually don't enjoy driving that much...especially with gas prices, and the way my TL used to suck up all the gas, but now its the complete opposite. So far, gas mileage is great (Knock on wood), and driving is more like a treat, more than a bore

Pics coming soon fellas

congrats and many miles of safe driving. Nothing better than having manual transmission. I was planning to buy a new car this year but I my 06 tsx has been excellent and there is nothing else I like better. I need 4-doors so the coupe is out.

I'm still fairly new to it all, but from what I've seen at , it's not bad at all. I had a 2003 in the past and their was plenty of support back then.

No kids of my own, but I do have a 4 door civic as well

Aside from that, the coupe is very spacious. Lots of rear leg room and comfortable seating throughout. My buddy who when on a test drive me is about 6'1" said he was very comfortable in the back seat. [Pause] lol

Keeping it simple right now.

I've already installed the interior SMD lighting and it makes a world of difference. Next mod....TINT and maybe add a sub and amp.

Yup, I've def. been all over that forum. I'm saving my intro there until I have some decent pics. Is your 8th gen a 2010 model? I think our grills are different and front bumper. BTW, your car is sharp with the HFP kit!

its a 08 model. yeh the 2011 model is a little different...front bumper, grill, and rear trunk and light is different but thats the only difference i think. OH! umm i think u guys get USB outlet and your brakes are probably fixed by now. the 08-09 models had premature brake wear and honda made you pay for it if you went over 25k miles. but then they settled it in the court n honda had to pay 50% back to the owners.

haha. ill be waiting for your intro. ill be introducing a 2011 red coupe as well but it will be my sisters bf v6 6speed with navi.

DDM Tuning HID Kit 35W 6000k w/ Nokya Yellow DRLS

H&R Front Springs

H&R Rear Springs - View of rear kit and side kit.

Before i gave it to my sister i installed foglights with 3000k so it looks better than that big oh hole in the kit lol

i dont want to hijack his thread

but overall good pickup. i think the accord is one of the best looking cars out and they retain they're value pretty well.

if the TL-S 6speed vs the Accord Coupe V6 6speed = good even race

vtxcraziexboi, looks like u pretty much nailed it as far as changes. Do you have any pics of the lights at night? Also, was the install for the HID's difficult (taking off the bumper, etc..) I'm planning on getting a ddm kit soon too, but still deciding btw 35 watt or 55. right now my plan is to go with 35 watt 6000k low beams and 3000k fogs, both h11 bulbs I think...

Quick question for you guys...does anyone have any experience taking off the window visors from the TL? I plan on going to the dealership this weekend to try and take them off myself as well as the front and rear lip kit as well. Any suggestions are appreciated.

vtxcraziexboi, also, ur friends car, in blue....that was my original choice, but extremely hard to find right now...at least on the east coast. Great color, but seeing as though how my old 2003 Accord coupe was blue, I decided to go black on black this time. No regrets!!

Yup, memory seats, lip spoilers for v6 coupes, one push moon roof, mp3 capable cd player, aux/ipod/additional outlet...but then again, all, if not most of us should be used to that with our TLs

lip spoilers for the V6s have been standard since 08, as well as the moon roof, mp3 and aux(but no iPod). My mom has an EX-V6 navi coupe. They're fast cars.
