Traded my M3 for a WDP 07 TL-S on Ebony

So, I have been a lurker on here for some time now however I was in the market for an 06+ RL. Long story short, I decided it was too much of an old man's car even though I loved the interior. I happened to stumble across a super low mileage white diamond pearl on ebony (I never see those) 2007 TL-S and bit the bullet. I took a beating on my M3 but it has given me a beating over the last 4 years in mods and repairs. I am supper excited to pick it up (next Monday...its a dealer transfer). The only thing I am going to miss is the ear to ear grinning throttle on drifting but I may pick up another toy before long but at this point, I just wanted a quick, super reliable daily driver.

Anyway, just wanted to re-introduce myself and I am sure I will be asking lots of random questions over the next few months.

I can't lie, BMW are beautiful. I am willing to hold onto the TL 3g for as long as I can, but if Acura doesn't knock some sense into their designers for the next type-s (or the 5G) , I'm gonna have to convert to the 2011 5 series, THEY ARE HAWT!!!

But as far as looks AND reliabilty... the TL 3G is a really good choice.

Don't get me wrong. I love BMW's. I love how they drive, handle, look and on and on and on. But once they are out of warranty... I am still in shock that it's going to be gone but all good things come to an end and I could not justify the extra money to get into a low mileage 335i or the like. I had and 00 TL and an 04 TL so I am very familiar with them. I have always had Honda/Acuras with the exception of a caddy STS (college...don't ask ) and my M3. It was a no brainer going back.

Auto, hands down most enjoyable for a daily driver. There I times I love rowing through the gears on my way to work but 9 times out of 10 I just want to ride in peace and listen to the stereo...another huge plus for the TL, it has an amazing stereo compared to most vehicles in the same price range.

True story. I'm right with you for daily driver. Needed vehicle to be comfortable, sedan for the nieces and nephews, GF helped me narrow down my choices and the TL reigned supreme after all said and done.

Just wish I would of waited for the Type-S to come out. You lucky b*stard!

Congrats and welcome back to the TL. The Type-S is an awesome machine. IMO more bang for the buck with all the "standard" features. If you like the stereo now, try playing a DVD-A disc. Welcome to AZ

I didn't think that I couldn't drive it in the winter because it would be hard to drive it, I just couldn't do it because of the fear of wrecking it ir getting damage on it from sand/salt.

Sorry, I knew what you meant. It went into the body shop every spring for a full polish and buff. It had some rock chips and whatnot when I got it and 4 years of daily driving year round never really added much.
