Traded a 535i Kill for a 645i

On the way to a monthly Cars & Coffee meet at a BMW dealership - in a bit of a hurry - a 535i does a fly by. He slows down and I think - what could be better than taking out a BMW on the way to his own turf. We he keeps speeding up so I just slow it down and low and behold a 645i comes up next to me. Now what do I do . . . take the 535i to the cleaners or run the 645i Okay, stupid question . . the 645i slows down beside me and we slow just a bit below 50mph and then he jumps on it . . . he gets a 1/2 car on me before I jump on mine and start reeling him in. As I catch him and just as I start to pull past him he hits the brakes hard. I think what the heck . . . maybe he couldn't deal with getting passed. Ah what fun it is.

RUF, your car runs the 1/4 in about the same time as my car (heavily modded 5at 3g tl type-s).

Well, my mom drove an 04-06 645ci conv and I've had my good times with that car, and when driving my car the next day I knew for a fact that my type-s was wayyyyyyy faster. The 04-06 6's are slow as balls.....

The 07+ 650s ARE pretty fast, since that's when BMW dropped an engine good for 35 more more HP, and I'm certain that my type-s could NOT take one at any speed.

But being the owner of a bmw, he probably couldn't stand being beaten by an "acura", and cut it right as he was losing.

A 535i runs the quarter in ~14.0 @ ~100.5 mph.

Not bad on the 645i..they are pretty heavy but still make 325hp. I don't know what your TL runs but it must be pretty quick!

Good kill

Did you see a black nissan gtr, there, driven by a white guy that was balding? If you did, the guy is my best friend's dad.

Thanks, and I hope to find out what it's running now with all these mods since my last time at the track . . . about 2yrs ago. I'm expecting to be very low 14s . . . who knows, if traction is good I think a very high 13 is possible. I also had my ram-air set up slightly different and I think it's working good . . . so good infact that at just over 6,000rpm it's pulling the TCS butterfly closed. I've got to fix that or else shift early at 6,000 . . . and that's just not an option. I'm going to post a thread in the 2nd Gen Perf and Mods section to see what the mega motorheads have to say about this.

Yes, and there were like 10-12 GTRs there . . 2 of them had that black satin wrap on them. They are so amazingly quite on take-off . . . so very deceptive.

Here's the links with pics and video . . . the video shows one of the white GTRs getting on it as he leaves the event.

Watch those Cobra guys and the Viper loose it . . . .

Nice work. IIRC, TypeS09 put up a video of himself pulling on a 645 when he was still N/A.
