Trade in TL for MDX! need opinion.

I'm currently making a deal with the dealer to trade in '05 TL 22,800k miles for a '07 MDX Tech/Nav-DVD. The trade in seems to be low at $23,000, but the MDX is $43,500.
Is this a good deal?
Any comments will be appreciated!

Thanks,
aiia

The trade in is ok, but they could do alittle better. When i bought my 335 i traded in my TL and they gave me 24000 and it was a 04 navi with 40K.

Your gonna love the mdx, my mom just bought one, tech and navi and its a great truck

You can probably do better on the trade in...and you can definately do better on the MDX price...I was quoted $42000 for a MDX Sport which is the same price as a MDX tech+entertainment

Your dealer has offered you $200 below wholesale on a TL without Navi. Not a good deal. I would try to get a little more for the trade if it is in excellent condition.

If the MDX has just the tech package on it thats not very good but if it has the tech and entertainment package on it you have a fair price.

MDX tech and entertainment sticker 46,365.00 sticker invoice 42,095.00

MDX tch sticker 44,165.00 invoice 40,103.00

I purchased a new MDX yesterday for my wife, a big difference from the Honda Pilot we traded in, I paid $37,400 for the base model silver w/ taupe interior. I currently own an 04 TL and all I can say for now is that both cars are great. You can't go wrong with either one. Good luck

Thank you for all your input. Oh yeah, mine is 05TL/nav. They found out that my right passenger side fender got repaint. I think that would throw off the trade-in price a little bit.

I don't know if you'd be willing to drive to SA but Gunn Acura was the lowest priced dealer that I could find when I was buying my type S. I looked in Dallas, Houston, Austin and SA. You can get a price quote via the internet with them too. They gave me $28,500 in trade for an 06 TL w/ Navi and treated me well with my purchase. I'd email them and tell them what you've been offered and ask them to beat it. I dealt with Pete Holloway - honest, guy and a fellow type S driver.

You could do better on trade in, go to carmax, get it appraised and take the appraisal to the dealer to match. As far as the MDX, I love it, my mom bought one Sport/Entertainment/Tech with some goodies and the price was pretty good to, condisering we got it for the same price as our 06 that was a lemon.

I just went with my 06 TL w/Navi and A-Spec Kit and Spoiler to Gunn Acura hoping for a Type-S as well. They offered me 26,5k for my TL only. I was upset. 7700 miles that was all.

They are selling 06's on the lot now for 28k they said.

I wonder why they offered you a lower trade? I traded mine in at the end of November so maybe that is the difference?
