I was offered $15,500 or a '00 with 36K in great condition. Seems low.

Sounds right too me. They are giving the tl away here . I have seen the dealerships selling 99 and 00s for 17900 with about 36 k on them . You can pick them up with 60k mile here for about 15k. Sell it outright you should get about 17500

 

When you look at the fact that you can still buy an 03' brand new, for 25K, it will bring down the used value of all previous models. Once all the 03's are sold and with the high price of the 04's, eventually the curve will swing high again. I look to sell my 03 with 2 years of ownership at 36k mileage for over 20k price. Also, trade is almost aways 10+% less than what you can sell it yourself for.

I'd agree that the price is about right. Kelly Blue Book will verify the 15k+ on trade-in values. BTW, when checking out the 04, I eavesdropped on a guy trading in an 03 TL/ no nav on one with only 8,500 miles and all they would give him was 21.

 

U should see the price at an auction if u want to see low.
