By the way the supercharger sound... kick ass.

No turbo available for the tl, you say?

I have some threads to show you...

There's no turbo equipment for the tl? I'll let some other members chime in on this one

May not even bother going to look at it...didn't realize that even the new wrx's give off that punk/teenage image, which is not something I'm looking for.

There are no turbocharger kits made for the 3 Gen TL, type S or base models. COMPTECH USA, was the only manufacturer that made a supercharger.
People dont recommend turbocharge an acura tl for 2 reasons: 1) It has to be custom made and will cost more than 2000$ and 2) the engine is already a high compression; boosting it would be a bad thing because it will give you problems such as replacing axles and transmission or dealing with the ECU.

If you can afford the supercharger go ahead with it. It was specially made for the acura tl

You are wrong, there ARE turbo kits made for the TL. A handful of members here are running the exact "kits" that you say don't exist.

JnR Turbo.. adds about 140-170 hp to the wheels.

best way to go about this is, like you say, to just go drive the WRX regardless. See what it's like. For you personally, it may be the best option.

We already know the 2 cars are not even in the same class and serve different purposes.

But you can't make a WRX more luxurious and comfortable. With a 6mt TL and some mods, you can have a lot of fun but still retain all the luxury. It really does become a total package for the cost. WRX is faster, but what can you do to refine the interior? There isn't really a market for that sort of thing.

I'm really not a proponent of the JnR turbo because the TL just isn't built for it. While I personally think it's really cool that people have developed it and some have applied it to their car, it will never behave the way a vehicle that was originally designed and built for such high horsepower numbers does, no matter what anyone wants to tell you.

That being said, again you can get several other mods that do great things for the TL, especially a 6mt, and you still retain the amenities and class of the car.
