IVE BEEN HAVING A PROBLEM WITH MY 2006 TL EVER SINCE I PUT A DVD PLAYER, IPHONE CABLE AND HEADREST SCREENS. I GET A TPMS SYSTEM ERROR MESSAGE. ITS IFFY CAUSE SOMETIMES I NEVER SEE IT. THEN AFTER DAYS OF DRIVING AND NO ERROR MESSAGE I GET IT AGAIN. SOMETIMES IT EVEN CLEARS ITSELF AND I SEE ALL THE TIRE PRESSURES. WHEN IT ERRORS ALL I SEE IS -- ON ALL 4 TIRE. HAS ANYONE EVER HEARD OF THIS? I TOOK MY CAR TO ACURA BUT THEY SAID THEY COULD NOT TOUCH IT BECAUSE OF ALL THE DVD, IPHONE COMPONENTS. MY CAR IS STILL UNDER FACTORY WARRANTY TOO! PLEASE HELP

 

Actually I had this same issue on my 07 TL-S when I installed my DVD player, navtool, sub, and amp. All the tpms sensors turned on for some reason. I pulled the fuse for them located in drivers side kick panel for about 5-10 minutes and reinstalled the fuse and the tpms error message cleared driving it less than a block.

I dont know what it was either. I installed headrest monitors about 8 months after the incident and never had the issue come up again. I would really ask one of the Acura techs to help you out. The service reps, here suck, and I always ask to talk to a service tech. They just seem more helpful to me. Hope this helps!
