WOW! This got a lot more feedback then I had thought was going to happen!
Ok first and foremost, I think there is still one thing I need to clear up, sorry for any forthcoming usage of caps/bold/etc.
THE WHITE REVERSE LIGHTS ARE JUST THAT - reverse lights. They DO NOT come on with the brakes. The only time white is present is when you're in reverse.
I will DEF have to take some pics of just the brake lights, and just the reverse lights, with nothing else on. I think pics may help to clear up some of the confusion!
I do still insist that if you see it in person, you may like it better. That said, I respect EVERYONE'S opinions, whether you like the mod or not. Most of you who didn't were still nice enough to compliment them on being original, different, etc. And I appreciate that!
Now on to some specific respones:
jguerra23 - You're 100% right, the Chinese TL brake light/reverse light is what I was going for. After exhausting all my sources to find one, I decided to make this one instead. Yah, I know, it's a bit more then the OEM one, but that's what I was going for.
Be-in my TL - Yes, the OEM reverse lights are no longer hooked up. The bulbs are still there, and I can easily unhook the wiring from the new reverse lights, and hook the connectors back up to the OEM ones if needed. Probably within a matter of 30 seconds or less. Just in case... And might I add, I absolutely loved your "Anyway, something new is better than, "I just hooked up Accord fog lights on my TL." comment!!
knavinusa - One row was actually my original intention...but after I created that, I wanted more...to be honest, I almost did a third row. But that, even by me, would be overkill.
LoveMyTL-S - Yes, they are bright enough to see at night when backing up, etc. I have had no problems at all seeing, regardless of if it's pitch black, or there are street lights, etc. It def puts a lot more light directly down on the ground, and slightly less light straight out/up. But I haven't noticed a decrease in the ease of which you can see.
So again, to all who like it, love it, thanks!! And to all who don't, I respect, and appreciate, your input. And thanks for at least realizing that it is different, regardless of what you may think!
Oh and chill_dog - any suggestions of things to do next? I'm glad you appreciated my rear heated seats install last winter, as well as this. I'm always open for suggestions! But don't suggest the cooled/air conditioned seats. I know I talked about doing it, but that ones on the back burner...looking for something else to do!
Thanks again everyone!

Utilizing the space in the Type-S bumper for the Chinese TL light style...original mod...I am impressed with the clean install. Pretty functional with the backup lights, nice and bright!
Being the LED maniac I am you'd think I'd love this mod.....well..... I don't want to give you any more negative press than you've already gotten. Let's just say I'd have to see it in person to really tell if I'd like it or not. This is a mod that crossed my mind too after I saw the Chinese TL. I didn't go for it because I keep my mods what I call "a bit subtle" (people call my lighting over the top too, don't worry.)
But once again you get credit for doing something original and a pro install. It's not that it is done in bad taste at all, I guess it's not everyone's cup of tea. As long as you like it is all that matters.

If it works for you, that's cool.
But the only way that could work for me is having the white LEDs only come on during reversing. I think the red ruins the white. One strip of white LEDs on each side might work as well.

To the general public:
And I also guess people aren't reading my other posts because apperently poeple STILL think that the red and white come on at the same time! So there is def a need for me to take some more pics to show, once and for all, that that is not the case. Maybe I will try and do that tonight, otherwise within the next few days.
And I'm also trying to get a friend of mine that can actually take good night pics because mine are overexposed/blurry/etc, and I feel that that makes them look cheaper and less clean. I feel that some nice pics may change the minds of those that feel it looks bad for the sole reason of overkill, etc.
Again though, if you don't like them, that's fine with me! Everyones been pretty cool about it if they didn't like them.
I'll try and get more pics up soon in an attempt to "sway the masses" lol.

Well it would definitely get the other drives attention. Which is the reason for doing that, you don't want people running into you, so this might be a good idea in some areas.
I personally dig it, but only wish you had an 03 so that I could see what this would look like with my car.
I wanna find your thread on the rear heated seats, that sounds awesome, and REALLY nice to your passengers in the back.
I'm so glad I found this site. Tons of amazing information on here. Now I don't feel like I need one of those Haynes books anymore.

Thanks for the compliment! I'm sure someone could photoshop my lights onto a 2G for an approximate idea of what it would look like. Problem is though, I'm not sure where you could install it, as there isn't a trim piece in the bumper on yours, like there is mine. You would have to cut the bumper to install something like this, I would think.
As for the heated rear seats, there's always a link in my signature, but here it is ready for you to click. Enjoy!

Back to the topic for everyone, I still haven't got around to taking more pics. I'm lazy...it took me over two months just to take pics of these lights after I installed them. Oh well! Once it warms up and easier to keep my car clean, I'll have to take some more pics

Oh and jdmitr22 - It seems like you'll have to know someone who lives over in China to get those lights/license plate shroud. Someone on here snagged a pair of Chinese tail lights, there's a thread somewhere about it. I tried all my internal routes. I.E. talking to my district rep, talking to the instructors at (Acura's) school, etc. It all comes down to Acura not being allowed to sell these lights in the USDM market, and only in the Chinese market. And then there's the whole "you need a Chinese VIN", etc. Basically I checked all my options, though I'll admit I didn't pursue them really hard. Basically it seemed like the lights would be very difficult to get, and expensive. So this custom route seemed better because it was much cheaper, and of course totally custom...even if not everyone likes them. But if you keep trying, I'm sure you can get a set at some point
(Mods: I tried editing my last message to include this, but after I typed it up I exceeded my "five minutes" and had to instead post another response. Sorry)

The less pics that are in your thread, the less hits you will get on your thread. The more pics that are on your thread, the less reading that goes on and more scrolling at 60mph. Males are visual. Picture whores!

I'd have to see it in person, but I do like the idea and the pics aren't bad. Props for creativity.

I'm going to have to bring back a dead thread, but about that China TL, those are reverse lights and REAR FOG LIGHTS. NOT BRAKE LIGHTS.
China has a law that says every vehicle must have rear fog lights.

And then there are just flat out assholes on here as usual! At least everyone else was respectful in there negative comments. Not that I actually care what anyone thinks, otherwise I wouldn't bother posting what I create, and rather just post all my helpful insight for all the other people on here. That said, thanks again for the awesomely blunt feedback
Aside from that, if it's going to be nice this weekend, I will try and snap a few more pics for clarification at night, as well as some day pics.

Even though you have quantified it, every pic that you took appeared to show the white lights on at the same time the reds were, thus the bashing (hey, you're on azine...what did you expect?)
Without the whites, I think your setup looks really good
I think they are complimentary to the red interior lights on the Type-S
