How difficult is the installation? Based on that Youtube install video posted by another user; it seems to be a quite difficult.

As with most jobs, you just need the proper tools to do it. You'll need a pair of pliers, hog ring pliers, and hog rings to get the old leather off the seats.

Is the leather smoother and softer than OEM?

I have not heard from them in about a week, I called the credit card company and put a stop on the payment. At this point i just want my money back I sent the covers back already on my dime i'm ready to just buy a nice set of covers from amazon and call it a day..

Yes, the leather is much softer than OEM, I'm very happy with the covers. If you are getting the 2 tone like I did, the silver portion is lighter than the 12 year old leather. I compared the Autocustomleathers to new OEM and they are exactly the same color.

I guess that's good to know. I gave Jerry until tomorrow to respond to me before I cancel my order.

Gave scammer Jerry another three days to get my order to me, otherwise I'm cancelling. I don't care how good the leather is, I'm not putting up with bullshit.

Lseat.com are a bunch of scammers also, If you dont get the right color or if something is wrong they will not help you. Save your money and go to a trusted site for the covers

Finally heard back from Jerry. He claimed he had gallbladder surgery, and that an e-mail was sent from a coworker with an updated invoice and tracking number last Thursday from Fedex. If the tracking number was from last Thursday, it should have been shipped by now, but it says "pending" on the Fedex website. That tells me either it wasn't picked up or the website is updating. I'm much more inclined to believe the former.

For what its worth I had similar problems with Autocustomleathers, was told it would take 2-3 weeks and after they put the wrong address on the package it ended up taking more like 6 weeks or thereabouts. Similar story with complete lack of communication but they finally arrived and looked amazing, basically a perfect color match and very soft. We ended up ordering the rear seat bottom as well and that just got shipped out yesterday, 3 weeks after ordering. Also got exactly 0 updates on the status after I said to make them lol.

I'm of a similar mind to you where I am EXTREMELY understanding when it comes to timelines. Except when that date comes and goes and there's been no attempt to update me about any possible delays. Like just sending an email and saying "hey it's gonna take a little longer than we expected" is literally all it takes. I'm ranting now lol but that shit really triggers me like a mf. This isn't even specific to Jerry or his people but just doing business in general. Like I'm spending 4 figures to support your small business the least you can do is keep me in the loop.

I whole-heartedly agree with this post. It literally just takes a 15 second e-mail to send to me.

Jerry supposedly shipped the seats to me last Thursday. Went to the Fedex site, and the fucking label was just created. It was not shipped yet. That was a fucking week ago. I'm really starting to get pissed.

Just sharing my experience. I ordered seat covers from lseat.com, black with perforated inserts. I had couple questions before placing the order and all my emails were replied within 1 business day. I placed the order and 23 days later seat covers appeared on my doorstep. I didn't get any info about covers being shipped, no tracking number, etc. Covers look good. They have all oem plastic hooks and mounting points, but I needed to trim couple plastic "holders" to make them fit in the right spots. Black fabric that attached to the bottom seat springs, or those pieces on the side, and holes for the head rest need to be cut. Also need to cut slots so the rear cover can fit flush to the seat. Metal and plastic rods that hold the covers needs to be transferred from the old covers. Straps that holds around the airbag fit fine. I didn't get the center console cover. Apparently it's a extra option, but I can't find where to select it.

It's my second time installing seat covers, so it might be my bad, but I couldn't get all imperfections out. I tried using steam like I saw on couple videos on YT but it didn't really improve. Overall covers look much better than old ripped and torn seats. Worst is driver's seat side.

All things considered, I'm happy with them. If they ever decide to support rear seat, I might get covers for them as well.

$325 which based on the Auto upholsterers I took the car too almost seemed too cheap although they would have been starting from scratch basically. Also they told me a big part of the cost was gonna be getting the actual/correct leather(obviously). I don't know much but I'm sure Jerry and co. are able to keep costs down considerably through volume production just like any other business. There's no more guesswork for them with getting the pattern right etc.

I found it to be of intermediate difficulty. There are tons of sensors and motors to unplug and stretching the leather properly took some practice. Then again I've never upholstered anything before. Be careful about finding all of the hog rings when pulling the old covers. Also the driver's seat is easier than passenger (no airbag seat sensor). I spent about 6 hours doing the job, but I figure a pro can do it in 3 or less.

I got my front seat leather from Jerry. Not bad. Not as soft as the OEM leather that I have. My OEM seats are still in great shape, so I will be replacing the OEM seats with these and conditioning the shit out of them to make them softer. I will be then selling my OEM leather front seat bottoms and backs in the BM section.

Time in the sun is your friend. Most of the imperfections/wrinkles in my seats are pretty much gone now. At first i thought that i would just have to live with some of the wrinkles and areas that had some slack, but not the case. It's been just over a month since I installed mine.

Geez this thread had my emotions shaped like a Bell-Shaped Curve... At first, I had little to no expectations in finding suitable aftermarket seat covers, then I saw "acvega's" set and got REALLY excited. Pulled up the website, found what I needed, added it to the cart, got distracted looking at the pictures in the thread, THEN I started to see the lack of communication from the company and my excitement quickly fell back to my initial baseline. Hope everything works out for those seem to be getting jerked along. I'll continue my search elsewhere.

If you're OK with no communication for two months, then go ahead and order the seats.

If you want, I will be listing my OEM set on the BM soon. Look for the seat leather if you want to buy them.

LOL, after over 2 weeks of no emails Lseat.com sends me 1 seat cover instead of 2. You really can't make this stuff up

I installed the passenger side front covers and seat backs. I had to engineer this shit myself. The front part of the seat bottom had a long J clip instead of three individual J clips. I had to cut it myself. In addition, I had to cut out the tops of the seat back leather for the headrest holes. One of the clips also came undone by from the leather.

Time will tell if I am happy with this.

To Jerry's credit, he offered me the rear seat bottom leather for $295 shipped, which is $35 off for my troubles.

This thread is very very interesting. I've always heard great things about Jerry. Now I'm skeptical when the time comes for me to purchase replacements.

If you're OK with waiting, then you should have no problems. I was OK with waiting, provided that communication was good. It was not. I still got a quality product. Now I just have to figure out how to smooth the leather so that the wrinkles go away.

Time in the sun is what ultimately helped my wrinkles to tighten up and settle.

Interesting. Usually things expand when they're heated up. I wonder if you just placed the hog rings closer to the point where there is no stretching.

Jerry just needs to tell customers upfront the wait time is 6 - 8 weeks, so the customer knows what to expect. He says 2-3 weeks and then delays making customers anxious. If anyone orders, just expect 6-8 weeks then you shouldn't be disappointed.

I took my covers to a car upholsteryshop to have installed. They had a few wrinkles which went away after a few days in the summer sun.

I'm hesitant to put my car in the sun, as I don't want my dash to crack again. After replacing the dash once, I don't want to do it again.
