Too good to be true?!?
Ok, i'm really bored today at work ( firefighter ), and i'm looking up TL'S on cars.com. I find a 06 A-spec with 6k for 18991. WOW! As i figured apon calling the dealership its a repair/ salvage title. So the factory warranty is void. I ask them about extended dealership warranties. They said blah blah, they have a 4 year/ did get the miles because my phone was breaking up. The warranty was $1600.
So i aruged a bit and finally got them the sell me the car for 18k with the 4 year included. Do you think thats a wise buy? I have ALOT of issues with buying a car thats been repaired like that, and i hav'nt checked it out in person yet, buts its a bumper-bumpers not sure about ALL the details because i was just f*in around really. Some input would be great. Thanks guys!!!

i don't think so. you can tell by one of the pictures that the gab between the fender and hood is messed up, which kind of tells you they didn't do a good job of putting the parts together. it all depends i guess on how the car looks in person and if they did a good job of fixing it. frame repairs would make me look away instantly!
my car was repaired because of a minor accident and re-painted but my gaps are perfect! there was no frame involved and it's got a clean title....i made sure my repairs were done right and i got an awesome deal on mine.

Link works fine. Hood is jacked up. Personally, I wouldn't buy a salvage-titled car unless I planned to strip it and mod the crap out of it or drive it until it died. You'll get nothing on resale.
Keep looking. You can find something else, I'm sure.

thats what I am thinking- acura wont cover it, why should someone else risk it?
A crash car can have internal engine problems- transmission and driveshaft problems...
Call an extended warranty company and ask them direct
A salesman will say anything to get you in the showroom under the guise of making a deal, then discover you cant actually get the warranty..I'm really Sorry Sir,,
how about we get you into another car that isnt crashed and is warranty covered...look at this beauty right here...hows your credit? here-just sign this offer so my boss can see I am working and check out what finance you qualify for....
See how it works....?

oddly- Acura will still honor certain things they did an extended warranty to-- on a salvage title car-
example gen2, SRS and seatbelts still get 10/150 on them,
but the extended trans warranty to 7/109 is cancelled on salvage cars

was the front hit or the back? The paint on the back oddly matches the rest of the car (WDP has yellower bumpers due to factory paint) and the trunk gap is funky, seperated on the left and really tight on the right. Also I doubt it's 6k miles, ask them to look for a sticker with the mileage on it on the door-jamb (driver's) because that's where it's supposed to go if the odo was changed.
ummm...yea, i agree with most and would say this car was fixed pretty poorly!! if you REALLY want it, by all means, grab it but for a lower price as i would take it to a REAL body shop and have them fix those gaps and color mismatches! the TL isnt your average car and it has lines and curves like none other! why spend all that money on a vehicle that doesnt even look the way it car off the line?? my $.02.....
all in all...its your money
all in all...its your money
If you think about how many reservations you have about buying that car... think about how hard it would be to sell that thing once it has more miles on it. It will be almost literally worthless in just a little bit of time. I would steer clear.
Whoa whoa...after doing some more research i'm not even bothering with the car. Its not worth it because i would lose money that i put down on my car in a trade in, for a car that has been wrecked. Sorry not worth it.
Mglax13- oh yeah where were you stayin at?

wouldnt touch it. With that low of miles that means it was either in the shop for years or its so messed up that no one else wanted it! besides, the price really is a bit steep for a salvaged car regardless of the miles.
Wise decision!
