Is the GT going to have the same block as the consumer model minus TT?
Acura should just sell the GT to the public, compete with Nismo and STI.
Why dance around like pansies afraid to make a car go over the speed limit?

Yeh i know the commercial you're talking about. Pretty sweet if you ask me. Besides i'm sure they can't change too much from the pictures above. I hope not

It needs to compete with the Infiniti Q50 Eau Rouge. Bring it out. Acura needs a performance luxury brand.
EVEN if it was a limited production to start out, doesn't hurt to try.

^their best tranny is being coupled to the 4 cylinder.
DCT powered by k24 pushing 200hp at 3500lbs DOES NOT SOUND FUN AT ALL.
now, they havent announced the powertrain to the AWD version...so we could be seeing a "type-s" version

I think it is time to accept that manual transmissions are going to go the way of the dodo for mainstream passenger cars in the US. Americans simply value their lattes and texting more than they value a connected driving experience.
Nuh uh, it hasnt been a standard here in the U.S. for a long time!!!
Thread resurrection. After having the TLX on the market for a few months now and getting a chance myself to see one in a showroom, I'm really disappointed in it. The styling makes it look homogenous with the ILX and RLX and the engine choices are lacking. I mean the V6 option is no different from my '07 TL-S as far as specs. The only thing I see going for it is the 9 speed transmission and the fact that the front end looks more like the 3rd gen TL than the last generation did. Does anyone else feel like Acura missed out on a great opportunity here? Don't get me wrong, I would still drive one, but I'm just frustrated they didn't push the envelope in any way.
Idk I personally like it. Go check out the photograph gallery on the tlx section and it can be really sweet with a simple drop and the accessory wheels.
Looks like the performance is very competitive compared to other makes who deliver a lot more power on paper. Some reviewers have it below 5.5s on the 0-60.
Ohhh and the i4 might be underpowered (tsx) it still gets 40mpg which appeals big time to buyers.
I'm not too big on all the nannies though. I guess that's what cars are gonna be from now on though

Im not overly impressed either. When I take my 07 TLS to work sometimes I park next to a new TLX and its pretty boring looking. I can only describe it as, just another sedan. My only hope is that if they brought back the Type S that would really spruce things up. Otherwise there are MUCH more exciting vehicles on the market.

Sure I could adopt a F1 driving style and have both hands on the steering wheel ready to shift, but that's somewhat tiring over long periods of time. At least I have 1 hand to mess around with the VTECH kid-toy sized button on the center console radio. Could the Enter button be any bigger? I wish they would have dropped this from the 4G TL.
The silver bezel all around the interior screams gramps even more than the 4G weird brushed bezel did but I miss the cup holder cover from the 3G and 4G.
Stupid things, but overall not impressed by the TLX interior. The trunk size is similar to past TLs. The exterior is unassuming but overall better than the 4G. I did not get to drive it so I cannot comment on this.
I said before and I will say that again TLX isn't a game changer like 3rd TL did in 2004, many people willing to give up RWD just to get their hand on the 04-05 TL. I felt I have that there is no major step up from my TL-S the only thing difference is the push start button and keyless entry (I don't know why Honda didn't put this in 07-08 TL). Oh and that lacking of ventilated seat (Advance pakage) isn't helping either. I got a TLX as a loaner couple weeks back and its more fun to drive than the IS250 because DTC but I never get the WOW factor either.
We should have known though.. when they scrapped the V8 project, then when they scrapped the turbo 4 banger from the RDX platform. Their focus is on maximizing profits through cost reduction and reuse.
