tls 5at or tls 6man

i was talking to my cousin who works at acura and he told me that there is a diff between the auto and man he saids it's a night and day diff. i would like to see what u guys think or no i ran an 14.9 wit an auto stock wit 3200 miles on the car. i ran 15.0 about 3 times and 14.9 1 time and the was just smashing on the gas. oh and i have an 08 tls

manual is a different beast. to give you a good camparison. there are people with a BASE 6mt who smoke auto Type-s'

wat really it's that big of a different like that? and there is no way to make that lose up wit the auto

Gearing plays a big roll. I/E/P would give you a nice boost in power and should make up some of the performance difference but you still can't replace those shorter ratio's and one extra gear that the 6MT has on your 5AT.

14.9 isn't bad for your TL-S Auto. As your motor breaks in more you should see that time drop. What was your 60ft? What was your trap speed?

Auto Type-S usually see 14.5-14.6 at the 1/4 mile. Try to shift manually to max out the gears and turn VSA off. If you leave it in full auto the tranny will shift way too early and you will fall out of your powerband.
