TL vs. BMW 3 Convertible

Anyone know if you can fit 3 passengers in the back seat of a 3 convertible? In looking at photos, it looks like you can only fit 2....just wondering if there are Latch connectors and/or a hidden lap belt in case I'd need to get 3 kids back there.

TIA

No, not thinking of getting rid of the TL.....just looking for a fun 3rd car.

Only three very little people with very short legs whom you don't really like or care weather they ride or not. Sounds funny but I'm serious.

Thanks guys. Yeah, looking specifically for a used luxury-level convertible. 3 kids in the back (7, 4, 1 years old) in boosters and installed car seat. If the 3 isn't going to work for me (that sucks) any suggestions?

MB, Volvo, Saab, fugly Toyota Solara? Or wait till they grow up and leave or get the 3 Series and realize that everybody doesn't fit.

with any convertible you are going to run into problems with space in the rear seat simply because they are not designed with the rear passengers in mind. take a look at the audi A4 cobriolet, there isn't a hump on in the middle but its not the roomiest backseat either.

Many TL owners are looking to slum around in a used, near-luxury car made by an inferior manufacturer, so methinks it's fairly relevant.

Actually, thats why we have a special forum for just that, not to mention, getting lots of opinions instead of strictly TL owners.

Car Talk, feel free to post there.
