I'm purchasing a 2004 TL and want to swap out my tail lights with the '07 Type S style tail lights...Are they the same size allowing me to do so??

Please refer to the 3G Service Department formerly known as the Garage before starting new threads. The Service Department is located on the main 3GTL page as a 'sticky'.

Thanks and welcome to the site.

Welcome to Azine.
As everyone else has already said, the taillights and sidemarkers are a direct fit.

No problem! It's a great mod to do too. I may be biased, but I love the Type-S tails. Next you'll have to add some quad tips....

You have to flip them upside 6 times then turn them inside out one at a time before they'll fit.. Kidding

On a serious note, welcome to AZ

welcome to AZ, I would try curry acura for the cheapest set, or see if Tim a vender here will match or beat there prices. Also I'd recomend changing out all the gaskets and not reusing any old ones to play it safe, I've read posts of people having leaking issues due to using old gaskets..
