TL Stock tires
I am currently considering the TL.
Can you install tires on the TL that dont have such a low profile?
The stock tires seem to fill up the wheel well quite nicely.
I know it would take away some of the handling characteristics of the car, but I am just curious.

Go to the tire rack, they had 16" wheel fitments for snow tires (on the A/T only) a while back with higher profile tires (and smaller contact patch), those will give a softer ride with some loss in steering responce and handling.
But if that is what you need, go for it.
Note the spare is a 16" rim (A/T ONLY, M/T NEEDS 17 to clear front brakes), so a 16" wheel with a real tire will work on the A/T model, but call the pros at tire rack!

Oswald Vater,
You are correct.
I am looking for a little better ride after the sorry stock tires wear out. I may just go ahead and replace them right after buying the car.
vtec=hapiness,
I guess I mentioned the part of the tires filling up the wheel well because it doesnt seem like there would be room for anything much larger. Im going to find out. Where I live in Texas, the roads are not always in the best condition and I wouldnt mind having a little better ride.
