TL Saturation
TL Saturation
Hey everyone, I live in a fairly high wealth area and being close to LA, there is never a shortage of Benz, Bimmers, or Caddys on the road. I should be the proud owner of an 04 TL by the end of this month and one of the main factors that helped me choose it over the G35 is that I don't see it everywhere I go. In fact, I'm lucky if I see a new TL on the road once a week.
I'm wondering about other areas of the country - are TLs popular on the road in YOUR area or are they just as scarce as they are here?

The second gen is very popular around my area and it seems the third gen is going to follow. My neighbor came up to me last night to tell me he just put one on order. So the will be very popular in Maryland. On average I see about 2 per day
Since middle of January, I've seen at least 1 04TL everyday.
Plus, in NYC & north Nassau county, it's quite normal to see your car surrounding with bimmers or other costly vehicles. I think 04TL is the wonderful car with great values. It soon will replace 2nd Gen TL to be the most popular Acura on roads.

I have only seen one 2004 tl in memphis (Collierville actually). My wife has seen 2, but one was me! Judging by the markup the memphis acura dealer is requesting (not a markup, just a $400 wax job) somebody around here is buying all their tl's but i have not seen many.

I'm actually not too far away from you on the L.A. side of the divide, and I am seeing a steady increase in TLs. As you cruise the 118, keep an eye out, cause the TLs are out there. I would say that I am probably seeing at least 3 or more per day on average. If you need any help with the TL purchase or post purchase tuning, let me know.

I'm not in what you would call a big city in OK by any means (more like the sticks), but mine is the only one I have seen on the road in this area and am happy about that.....gives me the "unique car on the block" so far. Am sure the TL will gain a following here since I receive compliments everywhere I go, but the nearest dealer is a couple hours away so that might be a factor as well. The only new Acura I've seen here is a RSX.
I live in the Houston area and see them everywhere. In fact, 2 peeple on my street have a new TL. Redondo Red and White. I always slow down when I pass their houses to stare. I can't wait until my Anthracite comes in April.

Well, here in central Mass. I regularly see a nice '04 TL in blue parked in the same driveway on my commute in the AM. There's also a white one I've seen a few times in the Uxbridge/Mendon area. Are you owners in this group? Other than that, very few in this area I've seen.
I've seen second generations are all over the place though.

I live in Stevenson Ranch (right over the hill from ya'!) and I've only seen one other TL in the area. Most of the people on my street drive a Benz, BMW, Lexus (SUVs), or Volvo. Oh, and there is one guy who drives a Hummer (and a Viper), but he's moving...
I am the only one in town with an 04TL, and have never seen another one here. There is an 00TL and an RL in town, but I know of no others. Nearest Acura dealer is in Memphis, 110 miles south of here.
I just saw the first other SSM 2004 TL TODAY! I mean, literally, the first since October. It had temp tags and I saw it near Shaker Square in Cleveland. Anyone here? I also had two shout-outs on Saturday--2 guys with a broken down Accord (early 90's, needed fuel pump) were gawking at my car so I gave them a peep inside. They recommended wheels and I reminded them "it's winter
"....another guy at the grocery store just a couple hours later saw my car and I chatted details with him about it. Turned out he is a Integra owner looking to move up. Shoulda kept the brochure in the car.
My point here is.....exclusivity is nice, but I don't think it'll last too long.

What part of Maryland are you in? I haven't seen a single TL on the road in the Baltimore area (except my own, of course). But you're right, the second-gen TL is practically the state car, so I'm sure the new ones will start popping up like crazy. Not that I'd mind if they didn't.

TL's are very popular here in Oregon. I see a few 2nd generation everyday. I see a TSX almost everyday. Lots of Integras and a few Legends.
