Look in my profile at my new threads, I just installed a set of Type-s tails on my 06 TL. I got depo tails off ebay and they fit perfect and no condensation. Its super easy to install, just drop the bumper, go in the trunk and there are 4 bolts on each light. Then there is a bracket under each light that needs to come out. The hardest part is swapping the L.E.D. boards over because you have to re wire them just like the stock ones. Once you do that you just put them back on and reattach the bumper. Easy 2 hour job!

ok so with the ebay depo ones you need to do rewiring? im not down with that. I thought it was a simple, remove the old tails, put the new ones and and out the existing led board inside, am I wrong?
I really wish I could find detailed instructions for this.

chill . Some people don't mind responding to stuff like this to help someone out. You could go with either depo or oem fitment will be slightly different but make sure to replace every gasket

Taillight install w/o bumper removal?
I am looking at buying DEPO TL type s taillights for my 06 tl. First off does anyone know if these are prone to leak, condensate, fog etc....
I am really wondering how to install these WITHOUT removing the rear bumper. "Apparently" their is a way, but I can't find anywhere how people do it. Please help

Some people get good DEPO's, others get bad DEPO's. From what I hear it is a hit or miss buy. As far as removing the bumper, you can just drop it, as oppose to completely removing it. It still requires taking out a majority of the bolts though.
You don't actually have to take the bumper completely off...but you do have to drop it down. There are 2 bolts under each tail light that you can't get to unless you drop the bumper. You'll need a couple screwdrivers, socket wrench, 8 and 10mm sockets, and most importantly one of those pincher type tools to take the clips out without destroying them (biggest pain in the ass). If you have a friend who is a mechanic, that should help too haha. Once you take the lights off, you have to remove the LED boards from the stock housing and swap them into the depo's. Good luck man.
Oh, as for the quality, the post above has it right. Because it's an aftermarket replica basically, you can't ever be totally sure. I just bit the bullet, spent some extra and got the OEM ones. I'm never changing them back, so I figured spending a little more is worth it.

There are 4 screws on the back of the LED board. Take those out and then pull the wire through the plastic lip.
Transfer the black foam gasket from your old tails and then reverse the steps you did before to put it back on.
