TL-S leather?

i believe the parts that touch ur body are leather, but everything else is vinyl. i believe acura does this and most other manufacturers do this because leather doesnt hold up well over time

I might be wrong but I *think* just the side bolsters of the seats are leather. Steering wheel seems to be leather.

Perforated centre sections and bolsters on seat and back are leather....rest of the seat panels are vinyl. Leather is a natural material, so it will stretch, crease and eventually dry out if not treated. Not sure why everyone seems so surprised by that...

I was pretty sure someone said the center console was vinyl. Either way, mine is getting replaed with high quality leather soon.
The TL's leather does wear too fast. I know it's supposed to wear but the seats really show the car's age more than anything else.
The 26 year old leather in my GN is in better shape than my 5 year old TL. I have friends with BMWs with 200,000+ miles with leather still in good shape. Maybe I got a bad batch or something but even the passenger side shows lots of wear and I don't have passengers very often.

I know some of the leather/vinyl changed a bit through the model years but I just replaced the foam under my center arm rest and it is 100% leather.
You can get armrest leather replacements here for much cheaper then OEM

GNX got the regular seats but a real guage cluster.
My factory seats have adjustable side and lower bolsters and lower lumbar support. They basically fit to the width of the driver and can get pretty tight. This is the best picture I have of the interior, you can see the leather center and headrest.

basically most of the honda's with leather have been like this.
All:
anything perforated is leather, vinyl can't be perforated.
seats:
Sides and back are usually vinyl,
top surfaces are usually leather where it contacts with body
door:
elbow rest usually vinyl,
inserts leather (perforated on TL-S)

Very interesting. I had no idea vinyl could not be perforated.

In my Accord EX V6 Coupe
Leather: Steering Wheel, Shift Knob, Center Console, Seat bottom and Seat backing.
Vinyl: Side boulsters of seat bottom and backing.
I would think the TL center console is also leather like in the accord.
I have 85k and my seats look amazing still. I conditioned it with lexol since new.

about 2 years and yes it does help the leather from cracking in my experience every zaino product I have is amazing especially Z-2 and Z-8 oh my god! that stuff is amazing. The tire dressing is amazing too lasts much longer then anything I have ever used plus it doesn't turn my tires brown over time like some sprays I used to use.

Some 84/85 had the Lear Siegler interior with leather centers and head rest. I believe total number in '84 was 200 leather interiors with only 2,000 total GNs in '84. That's why many, even GN owners don't know about the leather.

Have you ever used Zaino products? All their products smell pretty good actually but they are seriously awesome products all the ones I have used have given me amazing results. My Zaino typically last about 9 months before I have reapply! To be honest even if zaino Z10 did nothing for my leather I would smear it somewhere in the car just to smell it, its just like a shoe factory!

How often do you apply Lexol conditioner?
I keep hearing Zaino smells good and is a good product. Maybe I should try it on my TL. I wonder if there will be ill effect switching to Zaino from Lexol?

Heres my first post. New 07 CGP AT TL owner here.
Anyways, back to the subject at hand. Z10 has worked perfect for me the last 5 years. I have an 02 Camaro SS, and have been using Zaino leather cleaner and conditioner for the past 5 years. Prior to that from when the camaro was new, I used black magic wipes, which are CRAP. I have not used any of the other brands so I cant really comment. What I will say is that the zaino cleaner is really only going to clean light dirt. It wont do good for tough stains etc. As far as the Acura goes, I have black interior so Zaino works perfect for me, and the smell is Wonderful, which is perfect for me. It conditions the leather well, and Ive been doing it about once every two weeks. I really dont know if thats overdoing it, but I love the smell.
