Exclamation TL-S headlights on '06 TL

Correct me if I'm wrong, but are these the only parts needed to install TL-S headlights on an 06 TL?

- complete 07+ wiring harness
- DRL bulb
- turn signal bulb

And how difficult is it to remove/replace the existing wiring harness? Do the bumpers, fenders, or other engine components need to be removed to access it?

Thanks in advance.

I'm not 100% sure but I believe the bumpers are different.

Why would you need the entire wiring harness?

You would just need 1157 turn signal sockets, 9005 fog light bulbs (although I would advise turning them on for extended periods of time since 07-08 headlights consume much less wattage as DRLs).

Lucky for you your ballast from your 2006 headlight will mount right up to the 07-08 headlight. (04-05 headlights have bigger ballasts).

Solder the parking, ground, and turn signal wires from your car to the 1157 turn signal sockets and put the 1157 bulb right in. You should be set to go.

And NO, you do not need to get a different bumper lol.... that is 110% wrong information.

Here is my solution to the turn signal, https://acurazine.com/forums/3g-tl-2004-2008-93/solution-1157-7443-type-s-headlights-base-814655/

No modifications to your stock harness needed.

Thanks for the tip. Sadly I don't have dremels or any good tools to sand down the sockets with, and would rather not buy some just for this little mod

Do they make adapters or conversion harnesses for 7443 to 1157? Trying to avoid soldering/tapping wires if possible

A Dremel goes a long way just saying.. I bought one just thinking i might need it, well ive used the hell out of it haha..

Plus there is a self satisfaction of you doing the mod your self.

don't forget your fogs. assuming you'll want them, you'll have to dremel the lower grilles in the bumper. to pop em in

and to replace the lights at all ull have to pull ur front bumper anyway

You can't easily pop in 07/08 TL fogs into the lower grills =(

The curvature of the bumper is different etc.

A lot of custom work would be needed.

Best way for lower fogs are accord fogs.
