TL-S Brakes

It's about that time for me to get my brakes done. I have almost 25k on the car, so it sounds like the right time. The pads look like they have about 3-4mm left, and squeal occasionally during braking(this started a few days ago). In searching the forum I read that there is a TSB about this issue and that some have had their brakes replaced under the TSB. Is this common? I also read that if I take my car into the dealership, I should expect to pay between $3-400 to have the brakes done. Any input/suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

...If there is anyone around the Raleigh area willing to help out with this or can recommend a good Indy Honda/Acura shop, let me know.

DIY. I haven't done mine yet, but it sounds pretty easy to do. Can save ya some green.

Here's the DIY I found in the 3G garage:

I actually did mine two days ago. It was the easiest brake job I've ever done. Tap the two pins out out. I went head and spread the pistons back while the old pads were still in. Pull the old pads out. Put the new pads in. Put metal shim and pins back in and you're done. Took me 30mins for both fronts and I washed the calipers. I used rotora ceramics from excelerate.

Definelty DIY. I am NOT mechanically savvy and had no trouble with the TL-S brakes. Saved a TON over the dealer. Found OE Pads on Ebay from an Acura Dealer in Akron, OH for ~$160 shipped.

OR you can get after market pads - look at Racing Brake ET Series from Vendor MrHeelToe at www.heeltoeautomotive.com.
