im not at home right now so i dont have the saved links, but i'm sure if you search the 3G garage you will find a diy for installing the front lip, side skirt, and rear lip.

should be scanned instructions that also come with the a-spec kit upon purchase.

The installation instructions for all under spoilers can be found here:

https://acurazine.com/forums/showpos...96&postcount=1

And here is a DIY by member 1meand on his base front Aspec install. Only minor differences when compared to the Type-S.

https://acurazine.com/forums/3g-tl-2004-2008-93/diy-07-tl-spec-front-lip-install-3g-garage-e-002-a-624436/

This should make things crystal clear!

Now, as for buying this kit. the only place ive found selling the kit thry m google searches was ebay. as well as some group buys on Acurazine. Are there any other websites that sell this? and im talking more about the type s lip kit with the meaty front lip.

I bought mine from ActTL05 and on top of the great service and fast shipping, it was the cheapest price around. Stop wasting your time trying to find it cheaper and go with a reputable seller.

I vouch for ActTL05. Good person to deal with and it was fast shipping also.

Bruce (AckTL05) is a Hella Nice Dude, I would trust him with anything I buy from him. I may jump on the Aspec for my TL-S from him as well. Just thinking about it still

AckTL has been very professional with me. Unfortunately, he doesn't carry the CBP sides so I'm looking at Acurapartspeople.com.

I'll be searching for reviews of them on the forum, but if anyone has immediate feedback it would be appreciated.

I wouldnt get it off ebay. My A spec is not type s but i got my a spec from oemacuraparts.com and the whole process was painless. Got the full kit in a week. As far as diy a spec installation goes, its pretty easy. Just gonna take some time and a helper to get it done. Just follow the install guide and everything pretty self explanatory.

You do realize that most of them on ebay are dealers

AZ vendors

oemacuraparts.com is an AZ vendor?? I didn't know that, but I absolutely LOVE their website. The parts are simply laid out, the diagrams are absolutely priceless for understanding how everything goes together, and the prices are pretty reasonable. Plus you know you're getting a quality, legitimate part. +1 to that.

Me too, whilst I haven't purchased many car parts or accessories off of Ebay, I have a few plus I bought one car off Ebay. I will say that Ebay is the greatest marketplace ever for golf equipment. I have bought and sold over 500 times on Ebay in golf. If you buy from a seller with good feedback you shouldn't have any issues, plus Ebay will back it up if you come across someone who tries to screw you.

Some of the new lip kits for the rear require you to cut a slit into the bumper. Had to do it on mine.

bump

after looking over install directions, i have a question for the experienced:

Is it necessary to remove the FRONT bumper? i know it says to drill from inside front bumper, but that can definitely be done from outside. Am i missing something else, that would require removing front bumper?
just seems to me like it would be easier to put car on ramps and install...

back bumper i see why it would need to be removed... drilling marks are on inside

How do you know where to drill if you dont take it off? The holes are pre marked inside.

for the rear, yes, i agree.

i'm specifically asking about the front. And EvilVirus just confirmed that it's a waste of time removing the front bumper.

But, i'm open to others opinions.
please explain why it's necessary to remove the front...

did u remove the wheels to make it easier?
i could see this being a big advantage....

it just seems that having the bumper bolted/sturdy, would make it easier installing the lip (As opposed to having a floppy bumper unmounted). Especially when it's time to "firmly press the lip onto the bumper"

Nope

The sides are where the brackets go (simple bolt on) and the only place I had to drill was the bottom.

Drilled the screws in and clipped the 2 taps (2 on each side) and I was done.

Although, mine is press in as firmly as possible but it doesn't sit 100% flush (more like 98%) only because I have a Type-S front bumper cover with a 04-06 base front lip modify.

Yours shouldn't be a problem

^^ I agree with EV. I installed mine without having to remove the bumper or the wheels. Nice and snug
