i have a question for any1 who knows about messing wit the projectors. i went on ebay (search: 04 TL) and saw TL projectors on sale by some1 who claimed that they are modded from oem; they look super white and make oem look yellowish. i found out that the mod was done by removing the foreground limiter and the black cap on the shield. i really have no idea what the hell that is... so can any1 explain 2 me with some pics too if possible? cuz i would love to do it if its tru...

heres what somebody posted: yes, my 06 had torx tamper proof bit, but with a small screw driver i was able to unscrew it. from there, remove the D2S HID bulb and you will see the small black plastic stopper underneath the cutoff shield. really press at and and try to break it into pieces and eventually it will come out of the hole. tip the housing upside down and let all the pieces fall out and you have color modded your projector

can some1 show me a pic of the peice that needs 2b modded, i wouln't wanna break anything else...

Its where you cut apart of the shield off. Don't do it. You get less light output.
