TL pricing in the DC area
#4
Paid $2100 under MSRP for a Navi last Friday at Tischer Acura in Laurel. Don't know if most/every dealer does this but they included wheel locks, free lifetiime car washes, a VIP discount card with a starting balance of $50 towards any service/accessory, and a custom-made shiny gold Acura keychain (guess Acura used to provide them but stopped). Didn't know about any of the 'extras' until after agreeing on the price.

I will ask around for you ! You should not have a prob with any job being that you have a clearance . . . You should shop it on Monster or something like that ! One advantage of working at DOE is that if you have a Q , just about any one will be happy to take you . Hint Hint !

I just picked up my TL non-NAVI from Tischer in Laurel for about $2100 under MSRP. They threw in splash guards (they happened to be on the car already).
I like Tischer. This is my second TL. I bought from the same sales guy I had in 2001.
I'm an IT guy with TS as well.

I ended up buying in NJ back in March. Tischer was willing to talk but then backtracked on the thier deal. Pohanka and Radley wanted MSRP + and Criswell said they could not get (or order) my desired color combo.
With a TS and an IT background you should do fine. I spent 8 years in the NAVY as an IT guy, got out in 97 and have never had a problem getting a job. No matter waht you do, don't let your TS expire.

I'll throw in my 2 cents on Norris, since someone asked about them.
I leased an '01 CL from them but nearly scrapped the deal when they tried to change terms at the last minute. I was not pleased. Still, their service dept was great for three years, so I gave them first shot at my repeat business to lease an '04 TL. This was back in March and no one in MD/DC was dealing much, but you could still get $1000 or so off MRSP. Well, the sales guy at Norris gave me an initial lease quote that was ridiculously high, something like an extra $2000 ABOVE MRSP. I guess they thought they had a leasing sucker on their hands. After I balked he lowered the price to a "really special deal" that was, at best, slightly above MRSP. I left and have never returned.
I leased from Frankel, which matched an offer I got on-line from Rosenthal. Both of those dealerships responded to me in a very straight-up manner, but Frankel is much closer. Can't comment on their service yet.
