http://www.acura.com.cn/acuranewsite/tl/tl.html
My friend just came back from China, and he said the TL is more expensive than BMW X5 in China. It starts at $800,000 Chinese Dollars, which is equal to $114,000+ Canadian Dollars!
PS: sorry if it is a repost...!

You can't use the dollar sign, as in = $800,000 Chinese Dollars. $ means US dollars. It doesn’t start at $800,000, it is 800,000 RBM. All currencies generally have their own symbol as in the British Pound = ₤ or the Euro = €. That is my education for the day. Class demised.

sorry to break the joy.....
the TL is MSRP for $430,000 (RMB chinese dollar), and i heard somewhere that it is on sale... for like $390,000 right now.
I think they moved the reverse light because of the license plate design in china

No wonder they've only sold 200 over there lol.

How can a car that's sold more be less unpopular than a car that's sold less. Shouldn't the list be ranked by sales? Therefore if it were to be ranked by sales it would mean the Acura would be 2nd behind the Prius.

I heard lots of car makers are opening shops in China, like Bimmer, Audi, Buick, VW, etc ...not to mention Honda ... so for Acura to sell TL, it would be 100% tax added on top of the price ? (correct me if I'm wrong here)
Tl is pretty rare here in US (it's getting more popular), so I don't feel it as a surprise to see TL on top of the not-so-well-known list ...

I'm going to China in October, I think I'll go visit a dealership.
You all have to understand that most people in china do not have personal cars like us. It's alot of company cars. Audi and BMW have been in China much longer and thus are selling more. If you look at VW and Buick, they've done really well in China. Acura only started recently compared to the other guys so I'd give it time. There are still alot more bicycles in China than cars. :P.

I absolutely love those tail lights seriously. Also you figure that maybe the tax on goods from the US might be higher than those from other countries. If the TL is around or equivilant to $50,000.00 USD you would figure there is a tax of roughly 60%. Which would make a $35,000.000 USD car close or near to $50,000.00 USD.
Anyone see the buttons that they have on the A pillar? If you go to the website and you click on the fifth group of letters/symbols that are just below that lighter blue stripe at the top (should pull up a picture of the TL with little orange circles in different places on the car) then click the letters/symbols that are second from the bottom on the right side. It then pulls up this picture of these 3 buttons that are on the A pillar, I wonder what they do?
