I just installed some custom pedals this past Monday on my 04 6spd TL. Sorry no pictures.
I ordered them from ultimatepedals.com. They fit like a glove.

Hey guys..i just ordered a set of brushed aluminum pedals for my 04 Auto SSM. I'll take some pics when I have them installed. So far the mods I have to date are a momo F-16 carbon fiber/titanium shift knob and 15% tint all around.

ediddy, the flanged footrest bends at the right edge about an inch. Take a look at the stock footrest it is just flat, imagine the right side continues and folds over the edge. As far as the price, it is expensive but, they are a custom fit to the car.

I just wanted to add that I ordered my drivers side footrest with the "acura" symbol custom engraving. I'll take some pics when I get the pedals installed.

I actually just asked for it over the phone. It's only an additional $10 to get a custom engraving on a pedal.

Yeah there's no option on the site. I wish I had some extra money for these. BTW someone explained flanged and non, which one do we need though?

Also, for the AT cars, is that slope for your left foot to rest on the footrest? It looks bigger in the pic for some reason.

Alright thanks. Should I get grip pedals if I buy them? I mean would my shoe slide off the brake if it was brushed?

I got the brushed anti-slip pedals and they are quite grippy.

Do most generic pedals fit the TL or do only the custom ones work?

Aluminum pedals seem like a really bad thing to mix with the winter sidewalk/road salt mix we get around these parts, for two reasons:

1) feet slipping off the pedals (especially bad for clutches, and can be for brakes), and
2) salt corroding the aluminum.

I had the same concern about "slippage", but these pedals seem to be quite grippy. It would seem that the stock pedals would get slippery before these aluminum ones would. As a far as the salt corrosion, can't say just yet. Will let you know after the winter has come and gone.

Posting for Treblig. These are some SWEET pedals.

Were they hard to install? The instructions on their site seem a bit wordy.

BTW they seem a bit shiney and flashy. Is this from the flash or are the brushed just more shiney?

Thanks for the posting GaleForce (I didn't realize the pic file was that large!).

In answer to your question, the hardest part of the install is the brake pedal and only because you need a center punch (which I didn't have). The gas and dead pedal are just a matter of drilling two holes (or as many as want) and screwing the respective pedals down.

How do you screw the dead pedal in? Are the screws just sharp enough to drill in? And same with the gas? How did you do the brake without a center punch?

Sorry for all the questions but I really like this mod and I am very interested.

NP on posting the pic btw.

The gas pedal is plastic, so you just drill two holes with a 1/8" drill bit and use the self-taping screws included to mount the pedal (it is the same for the dead pedal). As far as the brake pedal is concerned, once you remove the rubber pedal cover there is a sheet metal pedal under it. The center punch makes it easier to drill since it provides the pilot hole. If you try and work without a center punch it is tough to keep the drill bit center because of the angle of the drill (it was for me anyway) causing the bit to slip out of position.

NP on the questions. Just glad to be able to help.
