TL-P vs TLS

has anyone seen or been in this race? A 5At TLP vs a TLS?
Just curious how big of a differnce is it..off the line...from a roll...car lengths? some details...

I have a 02 TLP stock and was playing around with the same exact car except a TLS on the highway..I was right with him...I think I was a little better in the SS mode...but he could of not been trying

On a straight line, if he steps on it, you may not have a chance to be "right with him". The 260hp power band is actually at around high 5k rpm.

Just my $0.02.

Not sure about the TL-P, I have a TL-S and compared to my old 2001 Accord Coupe EX-V6, the TL-S pulls HARD! My Accord pulled hard as well, but I do not think it even come close to the TL-S. I am sure the TL-P is Faster than the Accord V6(98'-02'). Hope this helps??

I don't think there is a TL-P (unless it's got turbo, supercharger or NOS) that could keep up with my TL-S.

CL-S (CAI) Vs TL-P (INTAKE, HEADERS, EXHAUST)

I have a CL-S with (I/H/E) but I only had my intake when i raced him, he had the mods mentioned on the title. We did two runs from a really slow roll like around 5 or 10 mph. First and second gear we were pretty even, I was only able to inch away from him and pulled less than half a car by the end of second. Third gear I pulled half a car more and by 100 mph I had a lil over 1 car length on him.

my 99 is faster than a stock TL-S. I haved two different ones from a 40mph roll on the highway. I pulled a solid car on each up to 100 and I was still pulling away. I have I/H/P/E/S and a few other little engine mods BTW.

Yeah, I guess with those mods I could see you pulling away from a stock TL-S.

In my many test drives of both TL-P and TL-S, I couldn't feel that much of a difference. Peak torque, which is important in acceleration from the line, is only 16 at the crank. It's probably much more noticeable at 80+mph, but I don't know about you guys, but I rarely drive at that speed.
