Smile TL Owners in PA...

Ok, so it's the end of the day and I'm trying to get myself through until 4:30p.
I keep seeing posts for "TL owners in such-in-such", so I thought I'd begin a post for PA'ers and see who is out there.

As for me...
I'm a 32 year young (haha) female, love my beloved boyfriend of many, many years, love my TL, and I live in Harrisburg. And sometimes I wonder if I spend too much time on this site; but what the heck? It keeps me stable during the work day. And not to mention that I learn a lot here.

Yeah, not a bad region... Work in NJ, and spend a lot of the time at the beach when the weather allows!

Nice car you've got there. My friend just got an '06 WDP auto with Navi, and got the "available in '06" ebony interior.

Well thank you! And right back at ya!
I would have preferred a different interior color; I never had such a light interior before and it's difficult to keep clean.

I work downtown Harrisburg and my assistant is from NJ. LOL. Trying to convert him to being a Honda owner; it's hard weening him away from his Escort station wagon!! But, to each his own I suppose? He's slowly getting coming around and looking at Accords.

Yea, we take many rides to NJ; more than often, AC. Although, my TL hasn't taken that beaten path just yet, only to the Philly airport last month when we went to Mexico.

Hate PA roads...PennDOT sucks around here.

Another fine choice in cars! The TPMS is something I wish I had, but it's also "new for '06". Is your car coming with summer tires?

As for your taste in football teams.... .... I BLEED GREEN!

Oh. Tire pressure monitor system, correct?

Its my understanding that doesn't give you the actual tire pressure, but only alerts you if the air pressure is critically low. But by that point, isn't it already too late, because you've probably been driving a tire that is too low in pressure for a week or so, and thats unsafe and bad for the tires/wheels.

The more I think about it, the more advantageous i imagine the TPMS could be. Honestly the best feature i think the 06 model has is the bluetooth connectivity for cell-phone's on the navigation system. I talk on the phone a lot, and the manual would prevent me from doing that, but not anymore

It does give you the pressure of each individual tire in addition to warning you of low pressure.

Go Steelers

Hey, I'm in the North Hills. There is a TPMS menu in the MID that you select to show the individual tire pressures.

Lancaster area here, love my TL, it beats riding in a buggy. Im always dodging the Amish, lol. Hoping to move to VA soon though!!

Anthracite '06 w manual trans and ebony interior and NAVI, EVERYONE loves my car!!!

PennDOT = The Anti-Christ

One day I saw like 8 PennDOT vehicles all over the road with cones merging traffic into one lane, I looked inside the trucks and all of them were just sitting in there drinking coffee???? WTF, if I worked like that I'd be fired!!!! Hmmmm, wonder if they are hiring???

Any Ziners in my area?

Hey there!
Yep...I'm diggin it more these days. Especially when I took it for service last week...and when I picked it up, it was sparkling and standing out among the rest. As soon as I pulled into the lot, I thought, "There's my baby!". I guess we just needed a separation to bring us closer together. LOL.

Coraopolis, PA here. Although I'm not an owner yet, I plan on it within the next month or so (debating the TL or G35).

Clausda0, can you tell me where South Hills Acura is? I've been to Baierl (absolutely unimpressed with them) and have been trying to make time to head out to Monroeville to check out Spitzer. I did a search and didn't see anything about South Hills Acura. That seems like it would be much easier to check out than heading out east. Thanks!

Pittsburgh and ASPEC (two subjects...)

...There seems to be a lot of TL's in Pittsburgh!!
Sadly, I've lived in PA all of my life; never been to Pittsburgh except to the airport during a layover. Looks like a great place, though! Might have to take the TL on a 4-hour cruise soon...

ASPEC

I love the looks of the ASPEC package, but my dealership charges (which may be the norm?) $6900 for it. And I thought to myself...if I am going to pay almost $40,000 for this Acura...I wouldn't buy the TL and I would have bought a BMW 3-series instead. So, since I'm a Honda-kinda-gal, I stuck with the TL (because I love it) and forgot about the ASPEC.

Do all dealerships [regionally] charge this much? If not, are there any recommendations? I'm not sure if I'd even want the entire package, but when I pieced it together, I think it looked "cleaner" in its entirety, rather than just front and rear lip spoilers.................... Any thoughts? I also wanted wheels for my car, but I want the factory 18" sparkly ones (I forget the exact name). Again - another $2000. I almost wish I would have added this stuff when I purchased it, instead of it being an afterthought.
