TL LOaner while my car is in shop
My WDP TL 04' is in service having the entire bumper repainted and getting the underbody kit installed. They gave me a brand new WDP TL 04 with only 17 miles on it. I was the 1st loaner to drive it. That was nice of them to give me a brand new car that hasnt been broken into. My car has 5,800 miles and when I drove this new loaner off the lot it brought back memories of when I 1st got my TL. Tight Ride, new car smell, and thicker thread on the tires Acura gets two thumbs up for great service .

Well, you're not what I meant "the early build 04TL". Acura Marysville Plant produced those cars and shipped to dealers before Nov/Dec/Jan/Feb. You may see most of TSB or technical Advisory Info or recall are for 04TLs prior to 014xxx ~ 018xxx, except EL42s vibration is upto 031030.
Edit: Ron A, you're one step early...

They are all #19UUA6, followed by a 5 for 6MT or a 6 for 5AT (leave it to Acura to make things confusing). Ron

Your VIN seems trouble-free, no TSBs or recall have been applied on it... am I right?

yes it is.. exellent. hey but one question.... and i dont know if its me.. but sometimes the car seems to rev up faster than other days. i mean its great and fast, but does teh temperature or climate or water have anything to do with car performance? or night and day? i think its just me....

WDP-Acura TL ...
Where you take your ride for service? At somepoint I am going to have to take mine in as well, and sounds like you are getting good service.
You ever get your tint straightened out?

Burning Brakes
As far as the car feeling different on different days, your optimal conditions are as cold as possible, and dry.
Cold reasoning: colder air is denser, denser air contains more oxygen, more oxygen incites more (and more thorough) combustion, effect: go vroom vroom.
Really hot days, the air doesn't hold much oxygen and power is poor.
I believe a car's HP ratings are done at like 60F at sea level with 65% or something humidity as a standard.
Dry Reasoning: moist air, the water is taking up the place that could be, yup, oxygen. And water doesn't burn in the combustion chamber, it just drips out the tailpipe (yes I know the tailpipe drips because the end of the equation of gasoline combustion is the emissions and water), I just had to say it.
so nice cool mornings, hell yeah the car goes much nicer, and the first crisp fall/winter days you'll notice it picks up quite nicely. And in the middle of summer, it rather honks.. Hence why the car has a pseudo-CAI, trying to scavenge as much of that affect as it can.

Is there a way to use the VIN to determine what month or day the car was built? Yes, I tried to search today but wsn't really finding anything

ok just bought an 04 tl with the last four digits being 007853. I do have a slight vibration and the car was a certified purchase. what can i ask them to check if i take the to the dealer. Also what other probs are there with the car, they gave me new tires the pilot hxmxm4's. They are they most expensive tire's that get the worst rating go figure? I paid 23k for the car with 44k on it. It has nav and is in mint condition. After reading all these posts i am starting to feel a little sick in the stomach as to maybe i made a bad choice.........I love the car its a dream for me. I hope it does not fall apart soon though
