if owner doesnt have any identifying marks from collision, then it could be a possibility.
but likely not... cuz...ive been around ppl who've mentioned the very idea, of leaving car at scene, going home and reporting it stolen

in order to steal the TL the person would have to have an ECU that had the immobilizer disabled... Not many people are going to do that for a 8+ year old car that really isn't worth much...

only if they keep dropping their soap or like tossing salad..
