TL Decklid removal??
Hey everyone,
I installed my own decklid from a cheap ebay replica on my WDP a little less than a year ago...but not crazy any it anymore...and I think I installed it a little too far forward (towards the back windshield)...not close enough to the edge of the trunk.
Also, the one I got doesn't have the flare/angle to it that the TL-S lip does.
If I were to remove it now to install either a wing or a TL-S lip, do you think it'd damage the paint on the trunk??? Also, any suggested methods for removing it?
(posted this in another thread by accident first, meant to do it here, so sorry for the repeat - please respond in this thread)

If it was double sided tape just saw the tape by running fishing line back and fort between the spoiler and the trunk lid keeping the angle of the line up and away from the trunk lid.
Once removed then roll the remaining foam from the adhesive off with your thumb and a little heat from a hair dryer etc.
If there is still residue use Goo Gone to remove it then rewax.
If you put on another one wipe the area down with rubbing alcohol to get a clean surface for the tape to stick to.
I had the same one as you and removed it and went with a better e-bay replicate.

do everything jezztn mentioned, but here are some more tips to make it even easier.
heat the double sided tape up with a hairdryer before removal. u can use dental floss instead of fishing line. once the lip is off, put bug & tar remover on the tape still left and heat it up with a hairdryer for a few minutes. the remaining tape should roll right off with your finger, repeat 2 or 3 times until the tape is gone. never use your fingernail, it's gonna scratch.

The seller's user ID was rburns6153
The spoiler was fine, and paint was pretty damn close (especially for the hard to match WDP)..but it doesnt have as much size and shape as the TL-S one does...also I'm contemplating doing a wing spoiler as well
