TL is at 92K Thinking of Timing belt replacement etc.

So I'm at 92K and I'm starting to think of the timing belt replacement and maintence.

So far I have

Air filter and Cabin Filter
Radiator needs flushing
Transmission Fluid needs replacing
Water pump
timing belt
Spark Plugs
Valve Adjustment
Valve Cover Gasket

Anything else I am missing, I want to be very thorough and make one big expense but make it work it..

Also I'm looking for parts separately but should i consider like a Timing belt "kit" I have seen some for 150-200?

What year is your TL? Where do you live?

You can probably do the air filter and CAF now along with the spark plugs but I would wait until 105 to do the TB service.

I live in southern California. I Also changed the plugs at 50k I don't plan on waiting till 105 as soon as I have time and money I will do it

I'm in agreement with waiting, but that's me. My brother who owns my old 00 TL had the TB/ water pump and tensioners done this summer at 140,000 miles and he said the TB looked new, so there's some safety limits built into the belt. I'll do mine when it's supposed to be done. If you're going to do the work, have the motor mounts checked and replace the tensioners as well as the drive belt (accessory belt). There is as far as I know, no interval for the valve adjustment.

DIY, lots of good info here

Got my kit on eBay for $187 the AISIN/KOYO parts I received were identical to the originals and the kit was cheaper than getting the Honda stamped part from OEMAcuraparts or similar. More info on my TB change in the thread. I also recommend waiting until 105k. If the "high temperature driving" caveat in the user manual is convincing you to change earlier, I'll tell you it's plenty hot in Austin and my TB and WP looked fine when i replaced them at 105,300 this weekend.

Whenever you decide to to the TB, replace all the items listed in the DIY.

I just had mine done at 52,000. I don't know if the car will make it to 105,000 at the rate I drive it.
